Puddle Cruiser
''Puddle Cruiser'' is a 1996 American comedy film, the first full-length film created by the Broken Lizard comedy group. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. The movie was filmed entirely on the campus of Colgate University, the alma mater of all five members of the comedy quintet. It was released on DVD in December 2005; the disc also features a 17-minute documentary called ''Rodeo Clowns'' on the marketing of ''Puddle Cruiser'' and ''Super Troopers'' with free previews on college campuses and using specially-painted tour buses. The extras and actors are almost entirely friends, family and other alumni, due to the very tight budget of the film. The film is repeatedly shown on Comedy Central. Jay Chandrasekhar
Jayanth Jambulingam Chandrasekhar (born April 9, 1968) is an American comedian, film director, screenwriter, and actor. He is best known for his work with the sketch comedy group Broken Lizard and for directing and starring in the Broken Lizard films ''Super Troopers'', ''Club Dread'', ''Beerfest'' and '' Super Troopers 2''. Since 2001, he has also worked frequently as a television director, directing many episodes of ''Community'' and '' The Goldbergs'', among dozens of other comedy series. He has also occasionally worked as a film director outside of Broken Lizard projects, most notably on the 2005 film ''The Dukes of Hazzard''. Early life and education Chandrasekhar was born in Chicago to parents who lived in the adjacent suburb of Oak Park, Illinois. Kevin Heffernan (comedian)
Kevin Heffernan (born May 25, 1968) is an American actor, writer, producer, and director, and member of the Broken Lizard comedy group. Life and career Heffernan was born in West Haven, Connecticut. His mother, Catheryn Jane (née Eiby), is the West Haven treasurer, and his father, Eugene Michael Heffernan, worked as a probate judge. His paternal grandfather, William J. Heffernan, was mayor of West Haven. Heffernan is a graduate of Fairfield College Preparatory School and later Colgate University, the latter where he was a part of comedy group Charred Goosebeak with other members of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. This group would stay together outside college, and become the group Broken Lizard. Heffernan is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School, and passed the Connecticut bar exam, but does not practice law. Matthew S. Mahurin (born January 31, 1959) is an American illustrator, photographer and film director. Mahurin's illustrations appear in ''Time'', ''Newsweek'', ''Mother Jones'', ''Rolling Stone'', ''Esquire'', ''Forbes'', and ''The New York Times''. The Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF) is an international film festival founded in 1992, by Joyce Robinson. The festival has since taken place every year in East Hampton, New York. It is usually an annual five-day event in mid-October and is held in theatre venues located in the Long Island area of New York, United States.
