Psycho (soundtrack)
''Psycho: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture'' is the soundtrack album to the 1998 remake of ''Psycho''. The record was released on December 1, 1998 by Geffen Records. Background The album includes three adaptations of Bernard Herrmann's score to the original by Danny Elfman. Elfman's adaptation was later released on a separate album. The only released recordings of the original score are new performances by other orchestras, although the 1975 recording was conducted by the composer, Bernard Herrmann. The rest of the album is made up of songs by rock, metal, country, trip hop, and drum and bass artists. Many of the songs were recorded for the album. Five songs sample the actual film: "Once Is Not Enough" repeats a number of Norman Bates and Marion Crane's lines from the 1998 version, and "Honeymoon Suite", "Madhouse", "All of My Life", and "In the End" all sample Bernard Herrmann's score to the original film. Teddy Thompson (born 19 February 1976) is an English folk and rock musician. He is the son of folk rock musicians Richard and Linda Thompson and brother of singer Kamila Thompson. He released his first album in 2000. "Living Dead Girl" is the second single from Rob Zombie's solo debut album ''Hellbilly Deluxe''. The line, "Who is this irresistible creature who has an insatiable love for the dead?" in the beginning of the song is from the trailer of the film ''Lady Frankenstein''. The music in the beginning of the song is taken from the trailer of the Wes Craven film, ''The Last House on the Left''. The spoken words "What are you thinking about?/The same thing you are" at the beginning of the verses are taken from the 1971 film ''Daughters of Darkness'' (a dialogue between the characters played by Delphine Seyrig and Andrea Rau). Lamb (electronic Band)
Lamb are an English electronic music duo from Manchester, whose music is influenced by trip hop, drum and bass and jazz. The duo consist of producer Andy Barlow and singer-songwriter Lou Rhodes. They achieved commercial success with the hit singles " Górecki" and "Gabriel". Biography On the basis of three songs, Barlow and Rhodes signed a six-album deal with Mercury Records in 1995. They released their first album, the self-titled ''Lamb'' in September 1996, and followed this up with another three albums and a cache of singles over the next eight years, culminating in the release of a greatest hits album, '' Best Kept Secrets'', in June 2004. Girls Against Boys is a post-hardcore band which formed in Washington, D.C. and subsequently relocated to New York City shortly after their formation in 1989.
