Prudence Sekgodiso
Prudence Tebogo Sekgodiso (born 5 January 2002), also spelled Prudence Sekgodisa, is a South African middle-distance runner specializing in the 800 metres. She was the gold medalist in the 800 m at the 2019 African U18 Championships. She is also a five-time South African Athletics Championships winner in the 1500 m and 800 m. Personal life Sekgodiso is from Gauteng, South Africa where she attended TuksSport High School, a sports-focused high school that allows learners to train and travel internationally whilst staying in school. Following her success, Sekgodiso was frequently compared and criticized on social media alongside Caster Semenya, the Olympic champion 800 m runner from South Africa who is intersex and has since been restricted from running the women's 800 m by World Athletics unless she reduces her natural testosterone. Brenda Chebet
Brenda Chebet (born 16 March 2004) is a Kenyan track and field athlete. She won silver at the 1500 metres at the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships. In February 2023 she won a gold medal in the mixed relay at the 2023 World Athletics Cross Country Championships. In December 2023, Chebet was banned from elite competition for three years for doping, following a positive test for methasterone on 8 July. Her results starting from 8 July were disqualified, and her ban was given from 3 September 2023 to 2 September 2026. Career In June 2022 Chebet finished fourth in the African Championship 1500m race, held in Saint Pierre, Mauritius. She followed that up a few days later with sixth place in the women's 800m final. The women's 800 metres at the 2022 World Athletics Championships was held at the Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, Eugene from 21 to 24 July 2022. Summary With the elimination of defending champion Halimah Nakaayi in the semis, the rest of the podiums of the Olympics and previous World Championships were represented in the final. Olympic Champion Athing Mu, silver medalist Keely Hodgkinson, Mary Moraa and Diribe Welteji all wanted to lead, the four spread shoulder to shoulder across the track after the break line. Hirut Meshesha (born 20 January 2001) is an Ethiopian middle-distance runner. She won the bronze medal in the women's 1500 metres at the 2022 World Indoor Championships in Belgrade.
