''Property of the Republic'' (russian: Достоя́ние респу́блики, Dostoyanie respubliki) is a 1971 Soviet two-part adventure film directed by Vladimir Bychkov. Detective story takes place during the Civil War in Russia. The picture was the 44th most attended domestic film in the Soviet Union. Plot Spring 1918. Tarakanov, managing the estate of Prince Tikhvinsky, with the help of the former court fencing teacher Shilovsky and homeless boy Keshka, steals from abandoned mansion collection of paintings and sculptures. Hoping across the border, criminals roam the circus troupe, and they are being tailed by an employee of Criminal Investigation Makar Ovchinnikov. Oleg Pavlovich Tabakov (russian: Олег Павлович Табаков; 17 August 1935 – 12 March 2018) was a Soviet and Russian actor and the Artistic Director of the Moscow Art Theatre. People's Artist of the USSR (1988). Biography Tabakov was born in Saratov into a family of doctors. His paternal great-grandfather, Ivan Ivanovich Utin, came from serfs and was raised in a wealthy peasant family under the Tabakov surname. His grandfather, Kondratiy Tabakov, worked as a locksmith in Saratov where he built himself a house and married a local commoner Anna Konstantinovna Matveeva. Igor Vladimirovich Kvasha (russian: Игорь Владимирович Кваша; 4 February 1933 — 30 August 2012) was a Soviet and Russian theater and film actor. He was a leading actor of Sovremennik Theater. Igor Kvasha was one of the Sovremennik founders along with Galina Volchek, Oleg Yefremov, Yevgeniy Yevstigneyev and Oleg Tabakov. He was honored with People's Artist of Russia in 1978. Biography Igor Kvasha was born in Moscow, the son of scientist Vladimir Ilich Kvasha, of the faculty of Mendeleev Russian University of Chemistry and Technology. Elmira Sergeyevna Zherzdeva (russian: link=no, Эльмира Сергеевна Жерздева, born 6 March 1936) is a Soviet singer and Meritorious Artist (since 1992). Early life and career Zherzdeva was born in Bolokhovo, Soviet Union. After finishing school, she entered the music academy at the Moscow Conservatory. In 1958, she worked at an opera choir on the Vsesoyuznoye Radio (All-Union Radio), and then in the philharmonic department Mosconcert as a vocalist. In 1962, she started to work in the variety department of Mosconcert. She was well known for singing old romance classics throughout the nation. Georgy Frantsevich Millyar, sometimes spelled Milliar (russian: Георгий Францевич Милляр; 7 November 1903 in Moscow – 4 June 1993 in Moscow), was a Soviet and Russian actor, best known for playing evil spirits in Soviet fairy tale films, including the witch Baba Yaga in films such as ''Vasilisa the Beautiful'', ''Jack Frost'', ''Fire, Water, and Brass Pipes'' and ''The Golden Horns''. Georgy Millyar was born into a wealthy family of Franz de Milieu, a French bridge builder working in Russia, and Elizaveta Zhuravlyova, a daughter of an Irkutsk goldminer.
