Promised Land (2015 Song)
"Promised Land" is a collaboration between producer/composer/singer/guitarist Marc Mysterio, rock band Crash Test Dummies and Mark Crozer meant to honor and benefit the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies whose resources, doctors, nurses and lawyers were severely stressed – to near breaking point – by the influx of refugees descending upon Europe in 2015. Mysterio and Crash Test Dummies previously collaborated in March 2015, when Mysterio released a remix of the band's 1993 hit Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm. On February 5, 2016, 'Promised Land' was released by Sony Music, marking the band's first major label release of new material in nearly two decades. Marc Mysterio
Marc Mysterio is an Irish Canadian multi-platinum songwriter, composer, producer, actor, Professional Boxer and DJ, with a label called World Class Records, and music publishing company Amerada Music. He is also signed as an artist to various labels globally, including Sony Music. Career Mysterio first became recognized in 2007 for his first single "Answer This" (featuring Linda Newman). Crash Test Dummies are a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba. The band is most identifiable through Brad Roberts (vocals, guitar) and his distinctive bass-baritone voice. Mark Crozer
Mark Crozer is an English musician. He grew up in Oxford, England, attending Cherwell School and later became a touring member of the Scottish alternative rock band The Jesus and Mary Chain. Musical career Early in his career, Crozer released two solo albums: ''Shining Down On Me'' (1999) and ''Unnatural World'' (2002). Later he became the bass player in The Jesus and Mary Chain's Jim Reid solo backing band. With Jim, Mark toured the UK and Europe, and recorded the single "Dead End Kids" and a version of The Beatles' " And Your Bird Can Sing" for Mojo magazine. When The Jesus and Mary Chain reformed in 2007, Mark was asked to play rhythm guitar.
