"Promise" is a song by Japanese rock band Luna Sea, released on April 9, 2011 as a digital download available exclusively on Amazon websites; Japan, United States, United Kingdom, France and Germany. It is the band's first release of completely new material since " Love Song", released over ten years earlier. Overview "Promise" was originally composed by Inoran and was first played by Luna Sea at the World Memorial Hall on December 30, 2010 as part of their 20th Anniversary World Tour Reboot -to the New Moon- reunion tour. At the time it was reported to be titled "Promised Night". Luna Sea
Luna Sea (stylized as LUNA SEA) is a Japanese Rock music, rock band formed in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1986. Due to the use of make-up and costumes early in their career and their widespread popularity, they are considered one of the most successful and influential bands in the visual kei movement. Throughout the mid-1990s they used significantly less make-up, and after a one-year break in 1997, came back with a more mainstream alternative rock style and toned down their on-stage attire. "Love Song" is the fourteenth single by Japanese rock band Luna Sea, released on November 8, 2000. It turned out to be the band's last single, as they held a press conference on the day of its release and announced they would be disbanding. They later reunited in 2010, and released " The One -Crash to Create-" in 2012. "Love Song" reached number 4 on the Oricon Singles Chart, and charted for five weeks. Overview "Love Song" was originally written and composed by Sugizo. He first wrote the acoustic guitar part and then the song's ending. The vocals came next, then the band arrangement and the guitar solo was the last part created. Although the song is from the '' Lunacy'' recording period, it was not included on the album. Inoran
, better known exclusively by his stage name Inoran, is a Japanese musician, singer and songwriter. He is best known as the rhythm guitarist and co-founder of the rock band Luna Sea since 1986. He started his solo career in 1997. Luna Sea disbanded in 2000, and he formed Fake? with Oblivion Dust vocalist Ken Lloyd a year later. In 2005 he left Fake? and founded Tourbillon with Luna Sea vocalist Ryuichi Kawamura and Hiroaki Hayama. 20th Anniversary World Tour Reboot is a concert tour by Japanese rock band Luna Sea. The tour is the first set of regular concerts given by the band in ten years since their Final Act concerts in December 2000, following a one night reunion concert in 2007 and a performance at the hide memorial summit in 2008. The tour kicked off on November 27, 2010 in Bochum, Germany and ended on December 31 in Kobe, Japan. The tour also included a free concert under the band's original name, Lunacy, on Christmas night.
