Progressive Governors Forum
Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) is a forum of List of state governors of Nigeria, Nigerian governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the mega party which was born of a merger between the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), and faction of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). The Forum was formed in the wake of the merger of legacy parties which merged to form the APC and at inception in August 2013, the PGF had 11 member governors comprising Borno, Edo, Ekiti, Imo, Lagos, Nassarawa, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Yobe, and Zamfara states; this number increased later when five additional governors from the ruling People’s Democratic Party (Nigeria), People’s Democratic Party (PDP) defected to the APC after a crisis that gave rise to a faction known as the new-PDP. Hope Uzodinma
Hope Odidika Uzodimma (born 12 December 1958) is a Nigerian politician who serves as Governor of Imo State. On 14 January 2020, the Supreme Court in Nigeria declared Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the 2019 governorship poll in Imo State nullifying the election of incumbent Emeka Ihedioha. Origin Hope Uzodimma was born on 12 December 1958 in Omuma to an Igbo Catholic family; his father Chief Michael Uzodinma held the chieftaincy title of Igwe of Ozuh Omuma and his mother was Ezinne Rose Uzodimma (née Nneoha). He is a kinsman of the Okoro family of Etiti-Omuma. Uzodinma is a devout Catholic, and is married to Chioma Uzodinma with seven children. Babagana Zulum
Babagana Umara Zulum (born 25 August 1969) is a Nigerian professor and politician who has serves as governor of Borno State since 2019 under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC). Early life Zulum was born on 25 August 1969, in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State. Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya (born October 9, 1961) is a Nigerian businessman and politician. He is the Executive Governor of Gombe State elected on 9 March 2019, under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC). Early life He was born on October 9, 1961 in Jekadafari, Gombe State. 2022 Ekiti State Gubernatorial Election
The 2022 Ekiti State gubernatorial election took place on 18 June 2022, to elect the Governor of Ekiti State. Incumbent APC Governor Kayode Fayemi was term-limited and could not seek re-election to a third term. Former Secretary to the State Government Abiodun Oyebanji held the office for the APC by a 30% margin over first runner-up and SDP nominee—former Governor Olusegun Oni. The primaries were scheduled for between 4 and 29 January with the All Progressives Congress nominating Oyebanji in a direct primary on 27 January while the People's Democratic Party nominated former Commissioner for Environment Bisi Kolawole in an indirect primary on 26 January. Biodun Oyebanji
Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji , (born 21 December 1967) is a Nigerian politician who has served as governor of Ekiti State since 2022. He is a former Secretary to the Ekiti State Government and a former Chief of Staff. Francis Nwifuru
Francis Ogbonna Erishi Nwifuru (born 25 February 1975) is a Nigerian politician and lawyer who is the current governor of Ebonyi State since 2023. He previously served as speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly from June 2015 to May 2023. He hails from Oferekpe Agbaja in Izzi local government area of Ebonyi State.
