Ratinho (TV Presenter)
Carlos Roberto Massa (born 15 February 1956), better known as Ratinho, is a Brazilian television presenter, businessman, comedian, radio personality, and politician. Biography Ratinho was a politician from the late 1970s until the mid-1990s, where he was the Vereador of Curitiba and then Federal Deputy for Paraná where he ran for the Partido da Reconstrução Nacional party. He is the founder and owner of Grupo Massa, which operates in communications, agribusiness, management and brand licensing. Ratinho began his television career in 1991 as a police reporter on ''Rede OM''. In 1997, he debuted a program called ''Ratinho Livre''. In 1998 he transferred to SBT and hosted the show Programa do Ratinho, which ran until 2006. The show returned in 2009 and he returned to host. The Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão (; SBT ; "Brazilian Television System") is a Brazilian television network founded on Wednesday, 19 August 1981, by the businessman and television personality Silvio Santos. The company was established after a public tender by the Brazilian Federal Government to form two new networks, created from revoked concessions of the defunct Tupi and Excelsior networks. The SBT was funded in the same day that the concession agreement was signed, and that the act was broadcast live by the network, so that this was his first program aired. Before acquiring the concessions of the four station that were to form the SBT, Grupo Silvio Santos had since 1976 the concession of Rio de Janeiro's channel 11, known as TVS Rio de Janeiro (now SBT Rio), which was a fundamental step to give life to the SBT.
