Profound Mysteries II
''Profound Mysteries II'' is the seventh studio album by Norwegian electronic music duo Röyksopp, released on 19 August 2022. It is the second of three albums in the '' Profound Mysteries'' series of albums. It was released with collections of short films (each by a different director) and animated visualizations (by artist Jonathan Zawada) created to accompany each track. Background and development In an interview with '' NME'' Svein Berge stated that "We are focussing on what we call ''the mystery'' – it’s rather pompous, I know," "We even added ''profound'' to turn up the nobhead-hood of it all! But anyway, the thing with ''part two'' in particular is that with this one, we point to the inspirational genres and artists who helped to forge us when we were kids." He further commented that those with a keen ear will notice heavy references to other artists like Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode, and also genres like Italo Disco and '90s UK rave. Röyksopp
Röyksopp (), a Norwegian electronic music duo from Tromsø formed in 1998. The duo consists of Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland. Berge and Brundtland were introduced to each other through a mutual friend in Tromsø, Norway. They enjoyed the same films and music, and shared an interest in electronics. The two experimented with various forms of electronic music, and bought a drum machine together during the Tromsø techno scene before going their separate ways. Several years later, the two met up again and formed Röyksopp during the Bergen Wave. After experimenting with different genres of electronic music, the band solidified their place in the electronica scene with their 2001 debut album, ''Melody A.M.'', released on the Wall of Sound record label. ''Pitchfork'' (formerly ''Pitchfork Media'') is an American online music publication (currently owned by Condé Nast) that was launched in 1995 by writer Ryan Schreiber as an independent music blog. VG-lista is a Norwegian record chart. It is presented weekly in the newspaper '' VG''. It is considered the primary Norwegian record chart, charting albums and singles from countries and continents around the world. ''Teddys Christmas'' (Norwegian: Teddybjørnens jul), or ''Alf Prøysens Teddys Christmas'' is a 2022 Norwegian family film, dubbed in English for Christmas 2023. It was directed by Andrea Eckerbom. Jeppe Rønde
Jeppe Rønde (born 1973) is a Denmark, Danish filmmaker. Rønde was born in Aarhus, Denmark and worked as a professional musician until he graduated in Film Studies and Art History from the University of Copenhagen in 2002.
