Pritchard Gymnasium
Pritchard Gymnasium is a 1,970-seat, 20,000 square-foot multi-purpose gymnasium located within the Stony Brook Sports Complex in Stony Brook, New York. The gym opened in 1969 and is the current home for the Stony Brook Seawolves volleyball team. History The Pritchard Gymnasium served as the original home for Stony Brook men's basketball from 1967 to 1990, until the Stony Brook Arena was opened in 1990. The Gymnasium underwent a $1.2 million renovation in the summer of 2008 and reopened in time for the 2009 Stony Brook women's volleyball season. The Gymnasium has been the home for several concerts, including Phish, The Notorious B.I.G., Primus (band), Primus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Clash, and U2. The Illinois Fighting Illini men's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team competing in the Big Ten Conference. Home games are played at the State Farm Center, located on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's campus in Champaign. Illinois has one pre-tournament national championship and one non-NCAA tournament national championship in 1915 and 1943, awarded by the Premo-Porretta Power Poll. Stony Brook Seawolves Men's Basketball
The Stony Brook Seawolves men's basketball team is the college basketball program representing Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York. The Seawolves compete at the NCAA Division I level, which they have done so since 1999, and are a member of the Colonial Athletic Association. The team is coached by former Kent State head coach Geno Ford after former head coach, longtime Ohio State assistant Jeff Boals, resigned to accept the head coaching job at his alma mater Ohio University. The Seawolves currently play their home games in the Island Federal Credit Union Arena, located on the university's campus in Stony Brook, New York. Island Federal Credit Union Arena, commonly referred to as Island Federal Arena, is a 4,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Stony Brook, New York. It is the home of the Stony Brook Seawolves men's and women's basketball teams. Originally built in 1990 as the Stony Brook University Arena, it underwent a $21.1 million renovation in 2012–14. The Vermont Catamounts Men's Basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. The school's team currently competes in the America East Conference and plays its home games at Patrick Gym.
