Armegot Printz
Armegot Printz (1625–1695) was a Swedish noble. She was the daughter of Johan Björnsson Printz, governor of New Sweden, and she married her father's successor, governor Johan Papegoja. She is the most well documented and known woman of New Sweden. Life Armegot Printz was born in Bottnaryd, Småland, Sweden. She was the daughter of the Swedish noble Johan Printz, colonel lieutenant of the Västgöta cavalry, and the German Elisabet Bock. She, as well as her mother and siblings, accompanied her father to Germany during his participation in the Thirty Years' War in the army of Gustav II Adolf of Sweden. In 1642, after her father's appointment as governor of the Swedish colony New Sweden in America, she followed her father to America in the company of her siblings and stepmother, where they arrived in February 1643. David Printz
David Printz (born July 24, 1980 in Solna, Sweden) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey defenseman, who last played for Frölunda HC of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Playing career Printz is a product of the AIK youth system. He moved to the US for the 2000-01 season, joining AWHL side Great Falls Americans. Back in his native Sweden, he played in 37 games for his hometown side AIK in the 2001-02 SHL season, before moving to Finland for the following campaign, splitting the season between Liiga clubs HPK and Ilves. In 2003-04, he returned to AIK, then playing in Sweden's second-tier league, the Allsvenskan. Drafted 225th overall in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers, Printz came to North America prior to the 2004–05 AHL season. He played in 50 regular season games and 1 playoff game for the Calder Cup Champion Philadelphia Phantoms. Johan Björnsson Printz
Johan Björnsson Printz (July 20, 1592 – May 3, 1663) was governor from 1643 until 1653 of the Swedish colony of New Sweden on the Delaware River in North America. Early life in Sweden He was born in Bottnaryd, Jönköping County, in the province of Småland in 1592. He was the son of a Lutheran pastor, Björn Hansson, and Gunilla Svensdotter. This source indicates a court martial exonerated him for the surrender of Chemnitz, but punished him for being AWOL. Printz received his early education in Sweden followed in 1618 by theological studies at German universities. While on a journey in about 1620, he was pressed into military service. The involuntary change in occupation turned out to suit him. During the Thirty Years' War, he initially became a mercenary for Archduke Leopold of Austria, Duke Christian of Brunswick, and King Christian IV of Denmark. Stefan Printz-Påhlson is a writer/editor of Disney comics at Egmont Group, Egmont Creative in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 1994 he created the Walt Disney character Princess Oona together with his wife Unn Printz-Påhlson, and Chilean artist Victor Arriagada Rios (better known as Vicar). To date about 30 stories have been made with Princess Oona, and they have been published in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Hungary, Brazil, and Russia. Wolfgang Caspar Printz (10 October 1641 – 13 October 1717), normally referred to as Wolfgang Printz (with sometimes the variation of Kaspar), was a German composer who studied theology and was appointed cantor at Promnitz, Treibel and Sorau. Priese Prince Lamont "Printz" Board (born September 11, 1982) is an American record producer, songwriter, and singer best known for his work with Black Eyed Peas and being a member of the production group Bucky Johnson.
