Princess Myeongon
Princess Myeongon (Hangul: 명온공주, Hanja: 明溫公主; 1810 - 1832) was a Joseon Dynasty princess, as the eldest daughter of King Sunjo and Queen Sunwon of the Andong Kim clan. Biography She was born in 1810, as the eldest daughter and second child of Sunjo of Joseon and Queen Sunwon of the Andong Kim clan. On May 11, 1817, at the age of 8 years old, she was granted the title of Princess Myeongon (명온공주, 明溫公主). On May 10, 1823, a selection to choose her husband took place nationwide. Only boys between 12 and 15 years old could participate and the winner was Kim Hyeon-geun (김현근), the son of Kim Han-sun (김한순) from the Andong Kim clan. They were married on July 20, that same year, and Kim was granted the title of ''Prince Consort Dongnyeong'' (동녕위). The Princess died at the age of 21, in 1832, after a long struggle with illness. Sunjo Of Joseon
Sunjo of Joseon (29 July 1790 – 13 December 1834, reigned 1800–1834) was the 23rd king of the Korean Joseon Dynasty. Sunjo was the 2nd son of King Jeongjo with Royal Noble Consort Su, one of King Jeongjo's concubines. Biography He was born with the title of His Royal Highness Prince Yi Gong on 29 July 1790 (18 June 1790 in lunar calendar). Upon the death of his father, King Jeongjo, Yi Gong ascended to the throne at age 10 on 4 July 1800 lunar calendar. Queen Hyohyeon
Queen Hyohyeon (27 April 1828 – 18 October 1843) (Hangul: 효현왕후 김씨, Hanja: 孝顯王后 金氏) of the Andong Kim clan, was the wife and the queen consort of King Heonjong of Joseon, the 24th monarch of the Joseon Dynasty. She was posthumously called as Hyohyeon, the Accomplishment Empress (효현성황후, 孝顯成皇后). Biography Lady Kim was born into the (new) Andong Kim clan (Hangul: 신 안동 김씨, Hanja: 新 安東 金氏) on 27 April 1828 in Ahnguk-bang District to Kim Jo-geun and Lady Yi of the Hansan Yi clan. Princess Deokon
Princess Deokon (Hangul: 덕온공주, Hanja: 德溫公主; 1822 - 1844) was the youngest daughter of Sunjo of Joseon and Queen Sunwon of the Andong Kim clan. She was the last Princess of Korea born to a King and Queen. Biography The Princess was born in 1822 as the youngest daughter of Sunjo of Joseon and Queen Sunwon of the Andong Kim clan. On 6 March 1829, at the age 8 years old, she was granted the title of Princess Deokon (덕온공주, 德溫公主). Her father passed away on 13 December 1834, when she was 12 years old. Three years later, on August 13 (during the reign of her nephew, Heonjong of Joseon), she married Yun Ui-seon (윤의선), son of Yun Chi-seung (윤치승). Princess Bokon (Hangul: 복온공주, Hanja: 福溫公主; 26 October 1818 - 12 May 1832) was a Korean princess, as the second daughter of Sunjo of Joseon and Queen Sunwon of the Andong Kim clan. Biography She was born on October 26, 1818 as the second daughter of Sunjo of Joseon and Queen Sunwon of the Andong Kim clan. On November 10, 1824, at the of 7 years old, she was granted the title of Princess Bokon (복온공주, 福溫公主). Queen Hyojeong (6 March 1831 – 2 January 1904; 효정왕후 홍씨) of the Namyang Hong clan, was the second wife and queen consort of King Heonjong of Joseon, the 24th monarch of the Joseon Dynasty. Heonjong of Joseon (8 September 1827 – 25 July 1849) was the 24th king of the Joseon Dynasty of Korea. He was the grandson of King Sunjo of Joseon, Sunjo. His father was Crown Prince Hyomyeong (posthumously named Munjo of Joseon), who died at the age of 20 before becoming king and his mother was Queen Sinjeong of the Pungyang Jo clan. Heonjong was born three-years before Hyomyeong's death.
