Princess (2014 Film)
''Princess'' is a 2014 Israeli drama film directed and written by Tali Shalom Ezer. It is Ezer's first feature film. Shira Haas stars as Adar, a 12-year-old girl whose close relationship with her mother's boyfriend becomes sexually abusive. ''Princess'' premiered at the 2014 Jerusalem Film Festival. Production Films that inspired Ezer in the making of the film include ''Cría Cuervos'' and ''Persona''. Zohar-Hanetz had never acted prior to his role in the film, which he took after Tali Shalom-Ezer passed him in the street and insisted he take it. Tali Shalom Ezer
Tali Shalom-Ezer ( he, טלי שלום עזר; born 1978) is an Israeli filmmaker, screenwriter, and director. She is best known for her debut feature, ''Princess'' (2014) which premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival as part of the World Dramatic Competition. Early life and education Shalom-Ezer was born and raised in Kfar Saba, Israel, to an immigrant mother of Ashkenazi Jewish (Romania) descent, and to an immigrant father of Iraqi Jewish descent. During her school years, Shalom-Ezer became involved in a local theatre group. During her military service in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Shalom-Ezer trained and worked as an IDF Psychological Evaluator, performing psychometric tests on young Israelis preparing for enlistment. Shalom-Ezer's ongoing interest in psychology was greatly influenced by her mother, who worked as a psychiatric nurse, focusing on the use of Psychodrama with her patients.
