Prince Of Peace Lutheran College
Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a co-educational Christian College for students in Kindergarten to Year 12 based on two closely located campuses in Everton Hills, North Brisbane. The Junior Campus on Rogers Parade West, is the home to 500 students in Kindy to Year 6. The Kindergarten and Outside Hours School Care facilities are also based on the Junior Campus and run on behalf of the College by Queensland Lutheran Early Childhood Services. There are currently 410 students attending the Senior Campus, which is approximately from the Junior Campus, and provides education for students in Years 7 to 12. There are 4 houses called Fraser (after Dawn Fraser), Jackson after (Marjorie Jackson), Laver after (Rod Laver), and Bradman (after Donald Bradman). Marjorie Jackson-Nelson (13 September 1931) is a former Governor of South Australia and a former Australian athlete. She finished her sporting career with two Olympic and seven Commonwealth Games Gold Medals, six individual world records and every Australian State and National title she contested from 1950–1954. Rodney George Laver (born 9 August 1938) is an Australian former tennis player. Laver was the world number 1 ranked professional in some sources in 1964, in all sources from 1965 to 1969 and in some sources in 1970, spanning four years before and three years after the start of the Open Era in 1968. He was also ranked the world number 1 amateur in 1961 by Lance Tingay and 1962 by Tingay and Ned Potter. Laver's 200 singles titles are the most in tennis history. Tayla Harris (born 16 April 1997) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Melbourne Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW) and professional boxer. She previously played football for and . Brisbane Lions
The Brisbane Lions is a professional Australian rules football club based in Brisbane, Queensland, that plays in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club was formed in late 1996 via a merger of the Melbourne-based 1883 foundation VFL club the Fitzroy Lions, and the 1987 Queensland based expansion club the Brisbane Bears, with the colours of maroon, blue, and gold being drawn from both parent clubs. Taymon Kenton-Smith (born 6 September 1994) is an Australian Paralympic Recurve Archer. He represented Australia at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, in Men's individual recurve, and Mixed team recurve and has been selected to compete at the 2024 Paris Paralympics . Samuel Short (born 17 September 2003) is an Australian competitive swimmer. He has represented Australia at the World Championships and Commonwealth Games. Short won a gold medal in the 1500m Freestyle and a silver in the 400m Freestyle at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, as well as a silver medal as part of the 4x200m Freestyle Relay at the 2022 World Championships.
