Primetime Emmy Award
The Primetime Emmy Awards, or Primetime Emmys, are part of the extensive range of Emmy Awards for artistic and technical merit for the American television industry. Bestowed by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS), the Primetime Emmys are presented in recognition of excellence in American primetime television programming. The award categories are divided into three classes: the regular Primetime Emmy Awards, the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards to honor technical and other similar behind-the-scenes achievements, and the Primetime Engineering Emmy Awards for recognizing significant contributions to the engineering and technological aspects of television. Karen Westerfield
Karen J. Westerfield is an American make-up artist. In 2022 she was elected business representative of the Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild, the top post for the guild; she was the first Asian-American and first woman to be elected to that post. Career Westerfield worked as a television makeup artist for ''Star Trek'' for twelve years. Among other ''Star Trek''-related work, she did the makeup for Quark during all of '' Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.'' Armin Shimerman, who played Quark, said, "I always say that Karen esterfieldhelped create Quark as much as I did." He also said of Westerfield, "It was her idea to put the maroon shading around my eyes. The makeup accented the eyes, so you could see the eyes better. ''Primetime Glick'' is an American television series starring Martin Short as Jiminy Glick. The series aired on Comedy Central from June 20, 2001 to July 3, 2003. Format The half-hour show is a spoof of late night talk shows such as ''The Tonight Show'', with bandleader Adrian Van Voorhees (Michael McKean), and sometimes exposing fake production staff. Host Jiminy Glick (Martin Short in a fat suit) has a monologue and banter with Van Voorhees, and then centers the show on a series of interviews where "guest celebrities try to hold up their end of the hilariously incoherent conversation". Charles E. Porlier (born 1961) is an Emmy Award-winning makeup artist and makeup effects teacher-lecturer. Charles Porlier was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and started his career as a child-puppeteer, inspired by, then meeting and learning from Jim Henson of the Muppets. After a brief period spent practicing stage magic, Charles turned to makeup artistry for films and television.
