Primera División De Fútbol De El Salvador
The ''Primera División'' of the (''Professional Football League''), more commonly known as ''La Liga Mayor'' or ''La Primera'', is the top professional association football, football league in El Salvador. It was established in 1969, and in 2011 had 10 clubs. Initially the league was run as a year-long tournament, but since 1998 there are two tournaments each year, much like in many other football leagues in the Americas. The Apertura season runs from August to December, while the Clausura season runs from February to July. Competition format La Liga Mayor follows the usual double Round-robin tournament, round-robin format. During the course of a given season (Apertura or Clausura), each club plays every other club twice, once at home and once away, for a total of 22 games. Teams receive three points for a win, one point for a draw, and no points for a loss. Williams Reyes
Williams Enrique Reyes Rodríguez (born October 30, 1976, in La Ceiba, Honduras) is a Honduran-born Salvadoran professional forward. Club career Reyes started his professional career at Deportes Savio, but crossed the Salvadoran border to play for Dragón in 2000. After only a year he moved on to FAS, with whom he would win 5 national league titles. In 2005, he joined Isidro Metapán to win three titles more, only to rejoin FAS in 2009 and add another championship. In January 2014, Reyes left FAS to rejoin Dragón, but he switched allegiance and joined local rival Águila for the 2015 Clausura season. International career Reyes played once for his native Honduras against a Hong Kong League XI during the 2004 Carlsberg Cup but never played in any official FIFA acknowledged match for them. Alfredo Pacheco
Alfredo Alberto Pacheco (December 1, 1982 – December 27, 2015) was a Salvadoran footballer who had the record for most appearances on the El Salvador national football team when he was banned for life in 2013, for match-fixing while playing for the national team. He was murdered on December 27, 2015. Career Club Pacheco spent the majority of his career with one of El Salvador's biggest clubs, FAS. After moving through the junior ranks and into the first team reserves, he was given his first chance to play in the Salvadoran Primera División in 2001. Gilberto Alfredo Murgas Fajardo (born January 22, 1981 in El Refugio, El Salvador) is a retired Salvadoran football player. Ernesto Góchez Lovo (born September 14, 1976) is a former Salvadoran professional footballer. Club career An attacking midfielder, Góchez's started his professional career at Atlético Marte and it spanned fourteen years while also playing top flight football for C.D. Águila, C.D. FAS, Alianza F.C., C.D. Chalatenango and San Salvador F.C. William Adalberto Osorio Rivera (born April 13, 1971) is a retired Salvadoran footballer. He was assistant coach at CD FAS, assisting technical director William Renderos. Club career After coming through at Coca-Cola, for whom he made his debut in 1987 while in the Salvadoran second division, Osorio started his top level career with FAS and made his debut in August 1990 against Fuerte San Francisco. The Estadio Cuscatlán is a football stadium located in the city of San Salvador, El Salvador. It was inaugurated in 1976. It can hold 53,400 spectators, making it the stadium with the largest spectator capacity in Central America and the Caribbean.
