The Apertura 2011 season (officially known as ''Torneo Apertura 2011'' or also known as the Copa Capri for sponsoring reasons) was the 27th edition of El Salvador's Primera División since its establishment of an Apertura and Clausura format. Alianza entered into this tournament as the defending champions. The season began on 30 July 2011 and concluded at the end of the year. Like previous years, the league consisted of 10 teams, each playing a home and away game against the other clubs for a total of 18 games, respectively. The top four teams by the end of the season took part in the playoffs. The ''Primera División'' of the (''Professional Football League''), more commonly known as ''La Liga Mayor'' or ''La Primera'', is the top professional association football, football league in El Salvador. It was established in 1969, and in 2011 had 10 clubs. Initially the league was run as a year-long tournament, but since 1998 there are two tournaments each year, much like in many other football leagues in the Americas. The Apertura season runs from August to December, while the Clausura season runs from February to July. Competition format La Liga Mayor follows the usual double Round-robin tournament, round-robin format. During the course of a given season (Apertura or Clausura), each club plays every other club twice, once at home and once away, for a total of 22 games. Teams receive three points for a win, one point for a draw, and no points for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, with the top six clubs at the end of the season progressing through to the finals. ...

Vladan Vićević (; born 26 July 1967) is a Serbian-born naturalized Salvadoran football manager and former player. Club career Vićević made his Yugoslav Second League debut with Sloboda Užice in 1988. He made over 100 appearances in the second tier of Yugoslav football throughout the next four seasons. After the breakup of SFR Yugoslavia, Vićević joined First League of FR Yugoslavia newcomers Bečej in 1992. He helped them to a fourth-place finish in the 1994–95 season, as the club earned a spot in European competitions for the first time in history. Ahuachapán
Ahuachapán () is a city, and municipality, and the capital of the Ahuachapán Department in western El Salvador. The municipality, including the city, covers an area of 244.84 km² and as of 2007 has a population of 110,511 people. Usulután () is the fifth largest city in El Salvador, and capital of the Usulután Department in the south-east of El Salvador. As of 2006, it is estimated to have population of 71,636 people.
