Prick (Prick Album)
''Prick'' is the debut album by American industrial rock band, Prick, fronted by Kevin McMahon. It was released on January 25, 1995 via Nothing Records, Nine Inch Nails founder Trent Reznor's vanity label and a subdivision of Interscope Records. The album was produced by Warne Livesey and Reznor, who also engineered on four tracks. The album sold 66,000 copies. The tracks "Communiqué"/"Crack" and "Animal" were released as singles. "Animal" became a minor alternative radio hit and was accompanied by a music video. A follow-up album, ''The Wreckard'', was released independently in 2002 after it was rejected by Interscope Records due to creative differences and the band was unsigned from the label. In 2017, the album was reissued on vinyl through Trent Reznor's Null Corporation label and made available for digital download via the ITunes Store. Prick (band)
Prick was an American industrial rock band, founded in 1992 in Los Angeles by guitarist and songwriter Kevin McMahon, after his first project Lucky Pierre disbanded. The first line-up of the band featured McMahon on vocals and guitar, Chris Schleyer on guitar and Andy Kubiszewski on drums. The band was known for its glam rock and new wave influences. History From 1989 to 1992, Kevin McMahon lived in Los Angeles and continued to write songs after the dissolution of his previous project, Lucky Pierre. In 1992, started a new unnamed project and recorded four demo songs with Trent Reznor, a longtime friend and a former Lucky Pierre member who found success with his new project, Nine Inch Nails. These songs were recorded in Reznor's Le Pig studio and featured a re-recording of a track from Lucky Pierre's 1988 ''Communiqué EP''. Chris Vrenna
Chris Vrenna (born February 23, 1967 in Erie, Pennsylvania) is an American musician, producer, engineer, remixer, songwriter, programmer, and founder of the electronic band Tweaker. Vrenna played drums for the industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails from 1989 until 1997, and was the keyboardist and drummer of the American rock band Marilyn Manson from 2004 until late 2011. As a member of Nine Inch Nails, Vrenna was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2020. Career Vrenna is a native of Erie, Pennsylvania. He graduated from McDowell High School in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1985 and marched in the Erie Thunderbirds Drum and Bugle Corps. Brian Liesegang (born February 10, 1970) is an American songwriter, producer, composer, guitarist and programmer, and a founding member of the industrial rock band Filter. Biography Liesegang was born in New York City, where his father Dr. Thomas Liesegang was attending medical school. He has since lived everywhere from North and South Carolina, to Jacksonville (graduating from The Bolles School), Miami, and Gainesville, Florida, to New Orleans, Los Angeles, Houston, Cleveland, spending most of his formative years in Rochester, Minnesota. Alan Moulder (born 11 June 1959) is an English record producer, mixing engineer, and audio engineer. Early life Moulder was born on 11 June 1959 in Boston, Lincolnshire. He was educated at Boston Grammar School. He had an interest in music from an early age, listing Cream and The Beatles among his favourite artists. The first album he bought was ''Electric Warrior'' by T. Rex, and he was impressed by the quality of the recording. Exotic Birds
The Exotic Birds was an American Synthpop music group formed in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, in 1982 by three Cleveland Institute of Music percussion students (Andy Kubiszewski, Tom Freer and Timothy Adams Jr.) They wrote their own music, and were described as synthpop and dance. They achieved mainly local success, but appeared as an opening band for Culture Club, Eurythmics, and Information Society. History The band's first single, "Dance the Night Away," was backed with an earlier recording, "Who Knows Why," by Kubiszewski and Nick Capetanakis (who performed with Kubiszewski in a prior group.) The order of the songs was accidentally flipped on the record, so the older song appeared as the A side. "Who Knows Why" received moderate local radio play and became a surprise hit in Japan. Lucky Pierre is a new wave band, founded in Cleveland in 1974 by singer-songwriter, guitarist and the only constant member, Kevin McMahon.
