Phil Rosen
Philip E. Rosen (May 8, 1888 – October 22, 1951) was an American film director and cinematographer. He directed more than 140 films between 1915 and 1949. He was born in Marienburg, German Empire (now, Malbork, Poland), grew up in Machias, Maine, and died in Hollywood, California of a heart attack. He was one of the founders of the American Society of Cinematographers. Rosen was married to model and actress Joyzelle Joyner. Charles Clary
Charles Clary (March 24, 1873 – March 24, 1931) was an American actor of the silent film era. Clary appeared in more than 200 films between 1910 and 1930. He was born in Charleston, Illinois and died on his 58th birthday in Los Angeles, California. He worked for Selig and the Fine Arts Film Company. Lydia Knott (October 1, 1866 – March 30, 1955) was an American actress of the silent film era. She appeared in more than 90 films between 1914 and 1937. Biography Knott was born in Tyner, Indiana, the daughter of Lambert and Clarissa Knott. She died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. She was the mother of director Lambert Hillyer. For years, Knott was David Higgins' leading lady. She acted in Repertory theatre, stock theater in Albany, Chicago, Cincinnati, and Toledo, among other cities. She also toured the United States in at least five productions. She also acted in vaudeville. Jack Mower (September 5, 1890 – January 6, 1965) was an American film actor. He appeared in more than 520 films between 1914 and 1965. He was born in Honolulu and died in Hollywood. After studying at Punahou College, in Honolulu, Mower moved to the mainland, and performed in vaudeville and in musical comedies on stage. His work on screen included serials and silent films. Mower was a leading man in silent films, but played bit parts after sound films came into vogue. Lloyd Whitlock
Lloyd Whitlock (January 2, 1891 – January 8, 1966) was a prolific American actor who began working during Hollywood's silent era. Born in 1891, he appeared in nearly 200 films between 1916 and 1949. Distinguished by his height and stature, he became especially known for playing heavies in B-movie westerns. Biography Lloyd was born in Springfield, Missouri, to James Whitlock and Mary Wadlow. After appearing in dozens of silent films, Lloyd successfully made the transition to the talkies, appearing on-screen through the early 1940s. He married Mary Gibsone, a Canadian citizen, in Los Angeles in 1919. The pair had a daughter together. Lloyd died in 1966 in Los Angeles.
