Preston Hanson
Preston Hanson (January 17, 1921 – February 12, 2008) was an American actor. Early years Hanson was born Iowa and moved to California in 1940. He attended Pasadena Junior College. Military service During World War II, Hanson few 65 attack missions as a combat pilot in Europe, for which he received the Air Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He later became a major in the Air Force Reserve. Acting Hanson appeared in over 30 TV series and movies over 40 years, including ''Dynasty'', ''Gunsmoke'', ''Dallas'', ''Goodbye, Norma Jean'', '' Action Jackson'' and ''The A-Team'' among others. His last credit was in the 1994 comedy ''Cops and Robbersons''. ''The Loch Ness Horror'' is a 1981 independent monster movie directed by Larry Buchanan. The film was written by Buchanan and Lyn Schubert. Plot The Loch Ness Monster is feeding on unsuspecting swimmers and eventually goes on a killing spree. There are three subplots: the monster's egg that is ready to hatch, a scientist who wants to capture the beast, and a mysterious sunken Nazi bomber plane which the military is trying to cover up. A Scottish scientist, George Sanderson, finds help from an American sonic expert, Spencer Dean, to team up and hunt for the monster. Along the journey, Spencer falls in love with Kathleen Stuart, who is the daughter of the first person to claim to take a photo of the monster, Jack Stuart. ''Sea Hunt'' is an American action adventure television series that aired in syndication from 1958 to 1961 and was popular for decades afterwards. The series originally aired for four seasons, with 155 episodes produced. It stars Lloyd Bridges as former Navy diver Mike Nelson, and was produced by Ivan Tors. Development Series executive producer Ivan Tors conceived the idea for ''Sea Hunt'' while working on the 1958 film ''Underwater Warrior''. He tried in vain to sell the series to all three major networks, but each network passed on it because they felt that a series set underwater could not be sustained. ''Billy Budd'' is a play by Louis O. Coxe and Robert H. Chapman based on Herman Melville's novella of the same name. Originally titled ''Uniform of Flesh'', the play premiered Off-Broadway in 1949. Coxe and Chapman restructured and retitled the work for its Broadway debut in 1951.
