Pressure The Hinges
''Pressure the Hinges'' is the third album from Christian metalcore band Haste the Day. This is the band's first album with Stephen Keech as lead vocalist. The album was released on March 20, 2007 through Solid State Records. Along with the regular version of ''Pressure the Hinges'', a deluxe version of the album was also released. The deluxe version includes a DVD which includes live footage, including the band just hanging out, and working on their new album. It also includes footage of a show with their new vocalist, Stephen Keech, as well as their original singer Jimmy Ryan's last show with the band. The bonus DVD also includes all of the band's current music videos, for "The Closest Thing to Closure," "American Love," and "When Everything Falls." And finally, three bonus songs are included on the album, along with the 13 other tracks. Haste The Day
Haste the Day was an American metalcore band formed in Carmel, Indiana in 2001 and signed to Solid State Records. Their name is derived from a lyric in the hymn " It Is Well with My Soul" by Horatio Spafford. The band released an EP titled ''That They May Know You'', in 2002, followed by five studio albums: '' Burning Bridges'' (2004), '' When Everything Falls'' (2005), '' Pressure the Hinges'' (2007), '' Dreamer'' (2008), and ''Attack of the Wolf King'' (2010). The group disbanded in March 2011 but reformed in 2014 and released ''Coward'' in 2015. History Haste the Day formed in 2001 in Carmel, Indiana. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. Vocalists in the genre typically use thrash or scream vocals. Some later metalcore bands combine this with clean singing, often during the chorus. Garth Richardson
Garth "GGGarth" Richardson is a Canadian record producer and music engineer. He is the son of music producer Jack Richardson (Alice Cooper, The Guess Who, Badfinger, Poco), a pioneer of the music recording industry in the 1960s and 1970s. Garth Richardson has done music engineering work for the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nickelback, and Mötley Crüe, and produced for Kittie, Biffy Clyro, Rage Against the Machine, Mudvayne, Melvins, Shihad, Kensington, and many others. He cofounded the Nimbus School of Recording Arts in Vancouver, British Columbia together with Bob Ezrin and Kevin Williams. The school was named after Richardson's father's production company, Nimbus 9, and offers courses in production, recording, and audio. Richardson has the nickname 'GGGarth' due to his mild stutter. ''When Everything Falls'' is Haste the Day's second full-length album. It was released on June 28, 2005 through Solid State Records. This was the last record to feature the band's original vocalist Jimmy Ryan until their 2015 release ''Coward''. By January 2006, the album had sold over 40,000 copies. Dreamer (Haste The Day Album)
''Dreamer'' is the fourth studio album by Christian metalcore band Haste the Day. The album was released on October 14, 2008 through Solid State Records. A song from the album, entitled "68" was released on the band's MySpace on August 1. A second new song, the second track off the album entitled "Mad Man," was made available for download on iTunes September 9. The third song Haste the Day has announced the release of is "Haunting," which was posted on the band's Myspace on September 6, 2008. The final track on the album, "Autumn" is originally from Haste the Day's first release ''That They May Know You.'' They released a music video for the song Mad Man on February 24, 2009. Stephen Keech
Stephen Keech is an American producer, songwriter, and composer living in Nashville, Tennessee. He spent his early years as the vocalist and songwriter for Solid State Records band Haste the Day. He was also the vocalist for New Day Awakening and is the current bassist for As Cities Burn. History In 2002, Keech started his musical career with the band New Day Awakening, for whom he provided vocals. The band recorded an EP, titled: ''Plague: Hysteria'' in 2005, but disbanded in 2006. From Autumn to Ashes is a post-hardcore band based in Long Island, New York. The group formed in 2000 under the name Who's to Blame.
