Presidential Library (Turkey)
The Nation's Library of the Presidency ( tr, Cumhurbaşkanlığı Millet Kütüphanesi), also commonly referred to as the Presidential Library, is the largest library in Turkey, with a collection of over 4 million printed books and over 120 million electronic editions published in 134 languages. The Presidential Library, which has the largest incipient collection in the world, was officially inaugurated by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on February 20, 2020. In addition to receiving a copy of materials printed in the country, as a depository library, the Presidential Library also receives books, in collaboration with the Foreign Ministry, from every country where Turkey has a diplomatic mission. Presidential Complex (Turkey)
The Presidential Complex ( tr, Cumhurbaşkanlığı Külliyesi) is the presidential residence of the Republic of Turkey. The complex is located in the Beştepe neighborhood of Ankara, inside the Atatürk Forest Farm. In accordance with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's "New Turkey" concept, it was envisaged that the Çankaya Presidential Mansion would become the prime ministerial complex and the president would move to the newly built palace. It was formally inaugurated as the official residence of the president by Erdoğan on the country's Republic Day, 29 October 2014. President Erdoğan proposed to call the new presidential residence ''Cumhurbaşkanlığı Külliyesi'', referring to a traditional complex centered on a mosque. Hüseyin Cemil Meriç (December 12, 1916 – June 13, 1987) was a Turkish writer and translator who wrote various articles in social sciences and contributed to Turkish literature with his twelve books in the twentieth century. Early life He was born in Reyhaniye (today's Reyhanlı) in 1916. He was the child of a family who had migrated from Dimetoka during the Balkan Wars. His father, Mahmut Niyazi Bey, who was a judge in Dimetoka, and his mother was Zeynep Ziynet Hanım. Mehmed Åževket Eygi
Mehmed Şevket Eygi (February 7, 1933 – July 12, 2019) was a Turkish journalist, writer, columnist, and Holocaust denier. He had Islamist-nationalist views, including some that were described as antisemitic or conspiracy theories by various sources. Hasan Celal Güzel
Hasan Celal Güzel (1945 – 19 March 2018) was a Turkish journalist and politician. He was Minister of Education, Youth and Sport (1987–1989). He was leader of the Rebirth Party in the 1990s, a party he co-founded in 1992. He was a columnist for ''Radikal'' and '' Vatan''. Şefik Can (June 22, 1909 – January 23, 2005) was a Turkish spiritual leader and the last Sufi master in the Mevlevi Sufi tradition in Turkey. Cinuçen Tanrıkorur
Cinuçen Tanrıkorur was an oud master, prolific composer of Turkish classical music, musicologist, and music journalist. He served as the director of Turkish Music at Ankara Radio, and taught music at Selçuk University. He was born in Istanbul. He was first exposed to music through his uncle Mecdinevin Tanrikorur who was a student of Münir Nurettin Selçuk. He was introduced to the oud through his mother, and started composing at the age of 14. At the age of 22 he became a musician at the Istanbul Radio. Abdülbaki Gölpınarlı (1900—1982) was a Turkish literary historian of Azerbaijani descent, known for his works on Sufism, Divan literature and Iranian literature. NTV is a Turkish nationwide television news channel owned by Doğuş Media Group. It was partnered with MSNBC between May 2000 and 2014. Besides domestic and international news, the channel's programming includes documentaries, as well as programs on finance, arts and culture, lifestyle, and sports. İlber Ortaylı (born 21 May 1947) is a Turkish historian and professor of history of Crimean Tatar origin at the MEF University, Galatasaray University in Istanbul and at Bilkent University in Ankara.
