Presidente Castro Pinto International Airport is the airport serving João Pessoa, Brazil located in the adjoining municipality of Santa Rita. The airport is named after João Pereira de Castro Pinto (1863-1944), a lawyer, writer and former Governor of the State of Paraíba. It is operated by AENA. History The airport was officially opened on August 20, 1957. Between February 1, 1979 and March 14, 2019 it was administrated by Infraero. Between 1980 and 1981 Infraero conducted major renovations and enlargements of the runway, taxiways and apron and in 1983 a cargo terminal was opened. In 1985 the new passenger terminal was opened and in 1995 it underwent renovations and enlargements. Leite Lopes Airport
Dr. Leite Lopes State Airport is the airport serving Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. It is operated by Rede Voa. History Dr. Leite Lopes State Airport was opened on April 2, 1939, and soon after, in 1940, the runway was extended for the first time. In 1996 the whole airport complex received its major renovation in which the runway and adjoining taxiway were extended from 1,800m to 2,100m and a new larger apron was built. In 2006 the width of the runway was enlarged to 45m and finally in July 2010 the renovation and enlargement of the terminal building was completed. On July 15, 2021 the concession of the airport was auctioned to Rede Voa under the name Consórcio Voa NW e Voa SE. The airport was previously operated by DAESP. DAFIF () or the ''Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File'' is a comprehensive database of up-to-date aeronautical data, including information on airports, airways, airspaces, navigation data, and other facts relevant to flying in the entire world, managed by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) of the United States. Withdrawal of public access DAFIF was publicly available until October 2006 through the Internet; however, it was closed to public access because "increased numbers of foreign source providers are claiming intellectual property rights or are forewarning NGA that they intend to copyright their source". Currently, only federal and state government agencies, authorized government contractors, and Department of Defense customers are able to access the DAFIF data. São Paulo/Congonhas–Deputado Freitas Nobre Airport is one of the four commercial airports serving São Paulo, Brazil. The airport is named after the neighborhood where it is located, called Vila Congonhas, property of the descendants of Lucas Antônio Monteiro de Barros (1767–1851), Viscount of Congonhas do Campo, first president of the Province of São Paulo after the independence of Brazil in 1822, during the Empire. In turn, the Viscount's domain was named after the plural of a shrub known in Brazil as ''congonha-do-campo'' (''Luxemburgia polyandra'', of the Ochnaceae family).
