The President of the Parliament ( ro, Președintele Parlamentului) is the presiding officer of the Parliament of Moldova. The current President of the Parliament is Igor Grosu since 29 July 2021. Igor Grosu
Igor Grosu (born 30 November 1972) is a Moldovan politician who is the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova since 29 July 2021. He has been a member of the Moldovan Parliament since March 2019. Grosu has been the leader (at first acting leader) of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) since 9 December 2020. Career Igor Grosu became the Deputy Minister of Education of Moldova under Minister of Education was Maia Sandu. In August 2015, the Prime Minister of Moldova, Valeriu Streleț, appointed Grosu as the Prime Minister's principal consultant for Science, Education, Health Policies and Social Protection. The next Prime Minister, Gheorghe Brega, dismissed Grosu a few months after he was appointed. Nikita Leontyevich Salogor (russian: Никита Леонтьевич Салогор, ro, Nichita Leontie Salogor or ''Salagor'', uk, Микита Леонтійович Салогор, ''Mikita Leontiyovych Salohor''; 15 August 1901 – 24 June 1982) was a Moldavian and Soviet politician who served as First Secretary of the Communist Party of Moldavia (PCM) in 1942–1946. Ion Constantin Ciobanu (6 November 1927 – 19 January 2001) was a writer and politician from Moldova. He served as the head of the Moldovan Writers' Union (1961–1965). Biography Ion C. Ciobanu was born on 6 November 1927 in Budăi village (nowadays Teleneşti district), in a peasant family. He graduated from the Orhei Pedagogical High School, and then, in 1959 the higher literary courses of the Writers’ Union of the USSR. Next, in 1947 he became a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU), and in 1951, he graduated from the Central Comosomol High School in Moscow. Andrei Lupan (15 February 1912, Mihuleni - 24 August 1992, Chişinău) was a writer, politician, and chairman of Moldovan Writers' Union (1946–1955; 1958–1961).
