Alfonso Fernández Mañueco (born 29 April 1965) is a Spanish politician who serves as the President of the Junta of Castile and León since 2019. He is also the chairman of the People's Party of Castile and León since 2017. He served as Mayor of Salamanca between 2011 and 2018. Biography Born on 29 April 1965 in Salamanca, son of Marcelo Fernández Nieto (the Francoist Spain, Francoist Mayor of Salamanca between 1969 and 1971) and Pilar Mañueco Bocos, he affiliated to the Nuevas Generaciones, New Generations of the People's Alliance (Spain), People's Alliance (AP) in 1983. Jesús Posada Moreno (born 4 April 1945) is the former President of the Congress of Deputies, the lower house of the Spanish Cortes Generales. He has worked as a civil engineer and economist. From 1979 to 1981 he served as civil governor of the province of Huelva in Andalusia. He went on to represent Soria in the regional parliament of Castile and Leon from 1983. From 1989 to 1991 he was president of the regional government. He has represented Soria Province in the Congress of Deputies since the election of the fifth legislature on 29 June 1993. He succeeded José Antonio de Miguel Nieto. The People's Alliance ( es, Alianza Popular, AP) was a post- Francoist electoral coalition, and later a conservative political party in Spain, founded in 1976 as a federation of political associations.
