Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School
Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School (PRESEC) is a secondary boarding school for boys, in Legon, Accra, Ghana. It was founded in 1938, under the auspices of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Presbyterian Church of the Gold Coast. The Basel Mission, Basel missionary-theologian, Nicholas Timothy Clerk (1862–1961), who served as the first Presbyterian polity, Synod Clerk of the Presbyterian Church of the Gold Coast from 1918 to 1932, used his tenure to advocate for the establishment of the secondary school. The school has ties with its sister schools, Aburi Girls' Senior High School and Krobo Girls Senior High School. The school's crest has a shield with the Presbyterian symbol (the St Andrew Cross-Scottish flag with the Swiss flag embedded and a burning torch in the middle) with the motto of the school, "In Lumine Tuo Videbimus Lumen", meaning "In Thy Light We Shall See Light", scrolled beneath the shield. Legon , a suburb of the Ghanaian city Accra, is situated about north-east of the city center in the Accra Metropolis District, a district in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. Aburi Girls' Secondary School
Aburi Girls' Senior High School, formerly Aburi Girls' Secondary School, also known as ABUGISS, is a Presbyterian senior high boarding school for girls located south of Aburi in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The brother school of Aburi Girls is Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School, known as "PRESEC". History Aburi Girls Senior High School was formally established as a secondary school for girls in 1946 with only seven students;. However, its origin dates as far back as 1852, when the Basel Missionaries opened a school at primary level for girls at their mission station inside the town. Krobo Odumase
Krobo Odumase is a town and capital of Lower Manya Krobo Municipal District in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The Presbyterian Boys' Senior High School was formerly located here.
