Preobrazheniye (russian: Преображе́ние) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) in Lazovsky District of Primorsky Krai, Russia, located on the Preobrazheniye Bay of the Sea of Japan. Population: History Founded on August 19, 1860 on the day of Transfiguration of Jesus, it was named "Preobrazheniye" (meaning ''transfiguration'' in Russian) after the event.
