Premio Lo Nuestro 1994
The 6th Lo Nuestro Awards ceremony, presented by the Univision, honored the best Latin music of 1993 and 1994 and took place on May 19, 1994, at a live presentation held at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida. The ceremony was broadcast in the United States and Latin America by Univision. During the ceremony, twenty categories were presented. Winners were announced at the live event and included Cuban-American singer Gloria Estefan and Tejano band La Mafia, each receiving three awards, and Luis Miguel and Wilfrido Vargas, each receiving two awards. Among its honors, Miguel won the award for "Pop Album of the Year," La Mafia for "Regional Mexican Album of the Year," and Estefan won the award for "Tropical/Salsa Album of the Year." Knight International Center
The James L. Knight Center is a contemporary entertainment and convention complex located in Downtown Miami, Florida. Located within the Miami Central Business District, the venue opened in 1982. The complex is named after famed newspaper publisher, James L. Knight. Since its opening, the complex has hosted many business, entertainment and political events. Annually, it hosts Miami Dade College graduation ceremonies. It also hosted Miss Universe in 1984 and 1985, Miss USA in 1986 and Miss Teen USA in 1985 and the OTI Festival in 1989. A clef (from French: 'key') is a musical symbol used to indicate which notes are represented by the lines and spaces on a musical stave. Placing a clef on a stave assigns a particular pitch to one of the five lines, which defines the pitches on the remaining lines and spaces. Since October 2012, chart rankings are based on digital sales, radio airplay, and online streaming, and only predominantly Spanish language songs are allowed to rank. The chart was established by the magazine on September 6, 1986, and was originally based on airplay on Latin music radio stations. Songs on the chart were not necessarily in Spanish language, since a few songs in English and Portuguese language have also charted. ''Aries'' is the ninth studio album by Mexican recording artist Luis Miguel. It was released by WEA Latina on 22 June 1993. After attaining commercial success in 1991 with his previous album, '' Romance'', Luis Miguel decided to return to a style similar to his earlier work, featuring pop ballads and dance numbers with R&B influences. The record was produced by Luis Miguel, who was assisted by Kiko Cibrian, Rudy Pérez, David Foster, and Juan Luis Guerra. Three singles were released to promote the album.
