''Prema Raga Haadu Gelathi'' () is a 1997 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film directed by Sunil Kumar Desai based on Yandamuri Veerendranath's novel ''Nishyabda'' translated into Kannada by Sharadatanaya. The movie was produced by Jayashree Devi. The film stars Shiva Rajkumar, Ramesh Aravind and Nivedita Jain. The film marked the reunion of the director Desai, producer Jayashree Devi, actors Shiva Rajkumar and Ramesh Aravind and music composer Ilaiyaraaja after their successful venture ''Nammoora Mandara Hoove'' in 1996. However, this film could not taste the same success as the previous venture. Sunil Kumar Desai
Sunil Kumar Desai is an Indian film director, writer and producer, known for his work in Kannada cinema. In most of his films, Desai blends art and commercial cinema. He has written and directed Thriller (genre), suspense/thrillers and Romance film, love stories. He has won the Karnataka state awards (4 times) in the Best Screenplay & Best Dialogues categories. He has also won the Filmfare awards 4 times. Desai worked with South Indian musicians like Illayaraja, Hamsalekha and Gunasingh. Desai was born in 1955 in Bijapur, Karnataka. He had his primary education in Bijapur and higher education in Pune. He started his film-career as an assistant to Kashinath (actor), Kashinath, and later Suresh Heblikar. Sihi Kahi Chandru
Chandrashekar (born 1962 23 July), known by his stage name Sihi Kahi Chandru, which literally means "sweet and bitter" Chandru, is an Indian Kannada film and television actor. Career His wife ''Sihi Kahi Geetha'' and he were the main protagonists in an old Doordarshan Kannada serial titled ''Sihi Kahi'' which was televised every Friday at the 7.00-7.30 slot, between 1986-87. Those being initial days of Doordarshan, the show had a large viewership and the serial was extremely popular with the Kannada audience. It was a situation-comedy (sitcom) serial in which Chandru and Geetha enacted the role of a husband and wife. Chandrika Gururaj (born 4 October 1959), is an Indian playback singer, known for her works in Kannada. Apart from film songs, she has also recorded numerous devotional, bhaavageethe and folk songs. For her song "O Priyatama" in the movie ''Urvashi'', Chandrika won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 1994.
