Prema (musician)
Prema Lucas (better known simply as Prema) was born in Taiping, Malaysia. Educated in Australia, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Adelaide University, Prema started her singing career busking and singing in pubs. Rozlan Aziz of R.A.P showed a keen interest in Prema's career upon her return to Malaysia and she was invited to perform as a guest artiste at the Ikhlas concert in Malaysia at Merdeka to 45,000 people. Prema was then signed to Warner Music (Malaysia) where she started work on her self-titled debut album, ''Prema''. Her first single, "Alive Again" was released in 1997 which resulted in her first music video for the song. Her second music video was released in 1998 for the track "Oblivion". This album was nominated for four AIM awards in Malaysia. In 1999, Prema left Malaysia and Warner Music to relocate to England, where she spent time writing for Warner Chappell (Malaysia). Wah Wah Watson
Melvin M. Ragin (December 8, 1950 – October 24, 2018), known professionally as "Wah Wah Watson", was an American guitarist who was a member of The Funk Brothers, the studio band for Motown Records. Career A native of Richmond, Virginia, Melvin Ragin moved to Detroit and became a member of the Motown Records studio band The Funk Brothers, where he recorded with artists like The Temptations (his guitar work on "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone" is particularly notable), The Jackson 5, the Four Tops, Gladys Knight & the Pips, and The Supremes. Weather Report was an American jazz fusion band active from 1970 to 1986. The band was founded in 1970 by Austrian virtuoso keyboardist Joe Zawinul, American saxophonist Wayne Shorter, Czech bassist Miroslav Vitouš, American drummer and vocalist Alphonse Mouzon as well as American percussionists Don Alias and Barbara Burton. Peter Erskine (born June 5, 1954) is an American jazz drummer who was a member of the jazz fusion groups Weather Report and Steps Ahead. Early life and education Erskine was born in Somers Point, New Jersey, U.S. He began playing the drums at the age of four. He graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, then studied percussion at Indiana University. Career His professional music career started in 1972 when he joined the Stan Kenton Orchestra. After three years with Kenton, he joined Maynard Ferguson for two years. In 1978, he joined Weather Report, joining Jaco Pastorius in the rhythm section.
