Prem Shankar Jha
Prem Shankar Jha (born 22 December 1938) is an Indian economist, journalist and writer. He has served in the United Nations Development Programme, the World Bank and as the information advisor to the Prime Minister of India. As a journalist, he held editorial positions at ''Hindustan Times'', ''The Times of India'', ''The Economic Times'' and '' The Financial Express''. He is currently the managing editor of ''Financial World'', the business daily from Tehelka and a senior journalist. Jha is the author of a dozen books including ''Kashmir 1947: Rival Versions of History'' and ''Crouching Dragon, Hidden Tiger: Can China and India Dominate the West?''. Early life Jha was born in Darbhanga, Bihar and attended The Doon School and St. Stephen's College, Delhi. The public sector, also called the state sector, is the part of the economy composed of both public services and public enterprises. The chief justice of India (IAST: ) is the chief judge of the Supreme Court of India as well as the highest-ranking officer of the Indian Judiciary. The Constitution of India grants power to the president of India to appoint, in consultation with the outgoing chief justice, the next chief justice, who will serve until they reach the age of sixty-five or are removed by impeachment. As per convention, the name suggested by the incumbent chief justice is almost always the next senior most judge in the Supreme Court. However this convention has been broken twice. In 1973, Justice A. N. Ray was appointed superseding three senior judges. Also, in 1977 Justice Mirza Hameedullah Beg was appointed as the chief justice superseding Justice Hans Raj Khanna. Gro Harlem Brundtland
Gro Brundtland (; born Gro Harlem, 20 April 1939) is a Norwegian politician (Arbeiderpartiet), who served three terms as the 29th prime minister of Norway (1981, 1986–89, and 1990–96) and as the director-general of the World Health Organization from 1998 to 2003. She is also known for having chaired the Brundtland Commission which presented the Brundtland Report on sustainable development. Educated as a physician, Brundtland joined the Labour Party and entered the government in 1974 as Minister of the Environment.
