The 48 qualifiers (45 direct entrants plus 3 winners of the first round) were split into 12 groups of four in the draw held in Durban, South Africa, on 25 November 2007. The Réunion Premier League or Championnat de La Réunion de football is the top division of football on the French overseas territory of Réunion. The league is run and managed by the Réunionese Football League under the watch of the French Football Federation.
