''Prathap'' is a 1990 Indian Kannada-language action film written and directed by V. Somashekhar. It stars Arjun Sarja, Malashri and Sudharani. The soundtrack and background score were composed by Hamsalekha. Premise Rani is a tribeswoman, who saves a person named Pratap from being chased by the police and soon falls in love with him, but she soon learns about Prathap's past as a Inspector who tried to exterminate illegal activities in the city and soon got framed by his enemies, where he also lost his loved ones in the process. Learning this, Rani decides to help Prathap in avenging his personal loss. Cast Soundtrack The soundtrack of the film was composed and lyrics written by Hamsalekha. The audio was released by Lahari Music. The song "Prema Baraha" inspired the name of a 2018 film, and the song was reused in the film. Arjun Sarja
Srinivasa "Arjun" Sarja is an Indian actor, producer, and director who works predominantly in the Tamil film industry, in addition to Kannada and Telugu languages as well. Referred to by the media and his fans as " Action King" for his roles in action films, Arjun has acted in more than 160 films, most of them being lead roles. He is one of few South Indian actors to attract fan following from multiple states of India. He has directed 12 films and also produced and distributed a number of films. In 1993, he starred in S. Lohithaswa
Lohithaswa T. S. (5 August 1942 – 8 November 2022) was an Indian Kannada film actor and playwright and an English professor. He acted in more than five hundred Kannada movies, stage plays, and television serials. He was popularly known for his dominating voice in the Kannada film industry. His son is actor Sharath Lohitashwa. Life and career Lohithaswa completed his post-graduate research in English literature from Manasagangotri Mysore University. He married in 1971 and had three children, one of whom is film actor Sharath Lohitashwa. Lohithaswa died from a heart attack on 8 November 2022, at the age of 80. ''Prema Baraha'' (), titled ''Sollividava'' () in Tamil, is a 2018 Indian romantic drama film written and directed by Arjun Sarja. It was produced by his wife Niveditha Arjun under his home studio of Sree Raam Films International, and made simultaneously in Kannada and Tamil languages. The film stars Chandan Kumar and Aishwarya Arjun, with different ensemble casts for the two versions. Jassie Gift composed the soundtrack and score. H. C. Venugopal was director of photography and Kay Kay edited the film. The two versions of the film were released worldwide on 9 February 2018. Kollur Manjunatha Bhatta Rathnakar (11 April 1931 - 21 September 2010) was an Indian actor and director, known for his work in Kannada film industry. He is best known for his comic roles in movies including Kanyarathna (1963), Satya Harishchandra (1965), Guru Shishyaru (1981), Hosa Belaku (1982) and Halli Meshtru (1992). Personal life Rathnakar was born in Kollur in a family of priests. His father Manjunatha Bhatta was one of the priests at Mookambika Temple, Kollur.
