Praskačka
Praskačka is a municipality and village in Hradec Králové District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,100 inhabitants. Administrative parts The villages of Krásnice, Sedlice, Vlčkovice and Žižkovec are administrative parts of Praskačka. Geography Praskačka is located about southwest of Hradec Králové. It lies in a flat agricultural landscape of the East Elbe Table. History The village was founded shourtly before 1465 and was owned by the monastery in Opatovice. The first written mention of Praskačka is from 1465, when King George of Poděbrady handed over the village to his sons. Demographics Transport The D11 motorway runs through the municipality. Its intersection with the D35 motorway is also located here. Praskačka is located on the railway line from Hradec Králové to Chlumec nad Cidlinou. East or Orient is one of the four cardinal directions or points of the compass. It is the opposite direction from west and is the direction from which the Sun rises on the Earth. Greyhound Racing
Greyhound racing is an organized, competitive sport in which greyhounds are raced around a track. There are two forms of greyhound racing, track racing (normally around an oval track) and coursing; the latter is now banned in most countries. Chlumec nad Cidlinou (; german: Chlumetz an der Zidlina) is a town in Hradec Králové District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 5,600 inhabitants. D35 motorway ( cs, Dálnice D35), formerly Expressway R35 ( cs, Rychlostní silnice R35) is a highway in the Czech Republic. Once completed, it will be the second longest highway in Czech Republic, running from Úlibice to the D1 at Lipník nad Bečvou. After completion, it will become an alternative route to motorway D1 between Prague and Olomouc and Ostrava. The D11 motorway ( cs, Dálnice D11) is a highway in the Czech Republic. Plans to build a highway connecting Prague and Hradec Králové date from 1938; construction finally began in 1978. Today it consists of one continuous segment Praha - Poděbrady - Libice nad Cidlinou - Libčany - Plačice - Plotiště - Smiřice - Jaroměř and last segment Jaroměř - Trutnov - border CZ/PL (polish expressway S3) is planned and waits for permits. It is part of European route E67 "Via Baltica" from Prague in the Czech Republic to Helsinki in Finland by way of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Three lanes in each direction are planned by 2025 between Prague and Jirny (8 km) and to Poděbrady after 2025. George of Kunštát and Poděbrady (23 April 1420 – 22 March 1471), also known as Poděbrad or Podiebrad ( cs, Jiří z Poděbrad; german: Georg von Podiebrad), was the sixteenth King of Bohemia, who ruled in 1458–1471.
