Pranam Khareedu
''Pranam Khareedu'' () is a 1978 Indian Telugu-language film. It starred Jayasudha, Rao Gopal Rao, Chandra Mohan, Chiranjeevi, Reshma Roy, and Madhavi in a guest appearance. The film released on 22 September 1978. The film is based on a play written by C. S. Rao. It is the debut film for character actor Kota Srinivasa Rao. Chiranjeevi started his film career with ''Punadhirallu''. However, his first released film was ''Pranam Khareedu''. Plot This is a story set to the pre-independence period in India. A village landlord Kanakayya (Rao Gopal Rao) marries Sita (Jayasudha), who is young enough to be his daughter, with the help of village Munsif (Nutan Prasad). However, he restricts her a lot after the marriage. Sita's brother Bangaram (Chalam) comes from the town and eyes Bangari (Reshmi Roy), Kanakayya's deaf and dumb servant Devudu's (Chandramohan) sister. Kranthi Kumar
Talasila Kranthi Kumar was an Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He won two Filmfare Awards and four Nandi Awards. In 1985, he directed '' Sravanthi'', which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu that year. In 1991, he directed '' Seetharamayya Gari Manavaralu'', which was premiered in the Indian panorama section, at the 1991 International Film Festival of India. In 2000 he directed ''9 Nelalu'', premiered retrospective at the Toronto International Film Festival. He has garnered the National Film Award, five state Nandi Awards and two Filmfare Awards South. Kota Srinivasa Rao
Kota Srinivasa Rao (born 10 July 1942) is an Indian character actor known for his work primarily in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. He has also starred in a few films in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. As a former politician, Rao has served as the MLA from Vijayawada East in Andhra Pradesh, India from 1999 to 2004. He made his debut with the Telugu film ''Pranam Khareedu'' in 1978. He starred in over 750 feature films. He has received nine state Nandi Awards in various categories of villain, character actor, and supporting actor. Jaladi Raja Rao ( te, జాలాది రాజా రావు) (9 August 1932 – 14 October 2011) was a versatile writer, playwright and lyricist in Telugu cinema. Life Jaladi was born on 9 August 1932 in Gudiwada in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. He was the fourth son of Amrutamma and the late Jaladi Emmanuel, a member of the Krishna District Board and Indian freedom fighter. He passed his S.S.L.C. with Telugu as special course. He started his career as a drawing teacher in District Board Schools. He worked in various districts and learned the slang used in different areas of the State. He resigned his job during his stint at Veeraghattam in Srikakulam district in 1968 and went to Chennai to try his luck in films. Chalam (actor)
Chalam (born Simhachalam Korada) (18 May 1929 - 4 May 1989) was an Indian film actor, and producer known for his works primarily in Telugu cinema, and Telugu theatre. In 1971 he produced and acted in ''Mattilo Manikyam'' which won the Best Feature Film in Telugu at the 19th National Film Awards. In a film career spanning 30 years, Chalam was starred in about 150 films in a variety of roles. Personal life Chalam married Ramanakumari, and changed his name to Ramana Chalam. They have 3 children. Ramana Kumari died in 1964 in a fire accident. Chalam later married, to Urvasi Sharada, his co-star in her debut film, ''Tandrulu Kodukulu'' in 1972. They later divorced in 1984. Death Chalam died on 4 May 1989. Due to alcohol addication.in his final days he also suffered from depression. Kanaka Vijayalakshmi, known by her stage name Madhavi is an Indian actress known for her works in Malayalam,Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada films.
