Prakash Dahake could not even get the NCP party ticket despite being the incumbent MLA. He therefore slipped to third place in the 2014 elections. Maharashtra Legislative Assembly
The Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha or the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly is the lower house of the legislature of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is situated in the Nariman Point area of South Mumbai in the capital Mumbai. Presently, 288 members of the Legislative Assembly are directly elected from the single-seat constituencies. The members of the upper house, the Maharashtra Vidhan Parishad (the legislative council) are indirectly elected through an electoral college. Sessions The budget session and the monsoon session are convened in Mumbai whereas the winter session is convened in the auxiliary capital Nagpur. Rajendra Patni
Rajendra Sukhanand Patni (19 June 1964 – 23 February 2024) was an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was a Member of the Legislative Assembly from Karanja constituency from Washim District in Maharashtra. He was also the member of legislative Council from 1997 to 2003. He won the 2004, 2014 and 2019 Legislative Assembly elections from Karanja. He also succeeded in making the President of the Municipal Council in 2011 and also in 2014. His development work, it is believed, propelled him to this victory. Rajendra Sukhanad Patni died on 23 February 2024, in Mumbai at the age of 59.
