Prabhu Dayal Balmiki
Prabhu Dayal Balmiki ( hi, प्रभु दयाल बाल्मीकि) is an Indian politician and a member of the 16th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh of India. He represented the Hastinapur constituency of Uttar Pradesh and was a member of the Samajwadi Party political party. Early life and education Prabhu Dayal Balmiki was born in Meerut district, Uttar Pradesh. He attended the Navjivan Kisan Inter College and received education till tenth grade. Balmiki belongs to Scheduled Caste community. Political career Prabhu Dayal Balmiki has been a MLA for two terms. He represented the Hastinapur constituency and is a member of the Samajwadi Party political party. Hastinapur Assembly constituency is one of the 403 constituencies of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, India. It is a part of the Meerut district and one of the five assembly constituencies in the Bijnor Lok Sabha constituency. First election in this assembly constituency was held in 1957 after the "DPACO (1956)" order was passed and the constituency was constituted in 1956. The constituency was assigned identification number 45 after the "Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 2008" was passed. The Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) are officially designated groups of people and among the most disadvantaged socio-economic groups in India. The terms are recognized in the Constitution of India and the groups are designated in one or other of the categories. For much of the period of British rule in the Indian subcontinent, they were known as the Depressed Classes. A Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) is a representative elected by the voters of an electoral district (constituency) to the legislature of State government in the Indian system of government.
