Poyrazköy
Poyrazköy is the name of a village (village Poyraz, tr: Poyrazköy) in Beykoz district, Istanbul Province. According to the last census, Poyraz had 904 inhabitants (as of the end of December 2010). Poyraz lies at the exit of the Bosporus into the Black Sea, on the Asian side of the Strait. Ergenekon Trials
The Ergenekon trials were a series of high-profile trials which took place on 2008–2016 in Turkey in which 275 people, including military officers, journalists and opposition lawmakers, all alleged members of Ergenekon, a suspected secularist clandestine organization, were accused of plotting against the Turkish government. Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge
The Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge ( tr, Yavuz Sultan Selim Köprüsü) is a bridge for rail and motor vehicle transit over the Bosphorus strait, to the north of two existing suspension bridges in Istanbul, Turkey. It was initially named the Third Bosphorus Bridge (with 15 July Martyrs Bridge being the First Bosphorus Bridge and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge the Second Bosphorus Bridge). The bridge is located near the Black Sea entrance of the Bosphorus strait, between Garipçe in Sarıyer on the European side and Poyrazköy in Beykoz on the Asian side. Garipçe, Istanbul
Garipçe is a village in Sarıyer district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. Garipçe is located on a hillside at the Black Sea entrance of Istanbul Strait, the northernmost place of Bosphorus' European shore, south of Rumelifeneri village. The village Poyrazköy in Beykoz district of Istanbul Province on the Asian shore of Bosphorus is just across Garipçe. It was declared as a protected area for its nature and seascape. The village became popular through the 2016-built Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge spanning over Bosphorus between Garipçe and Poyrazköy. A ruined historic fortress with tower built by Genoese some 550 years ago is situated on a hill south of the village. The site, covering an area of , has a panoramic view of Bosphorus. Beykoz
Beykoz (), also known as Beicos and Beikos, is a district in Istanbul, Turkey at the northern end of the Bosphorus on the Anatolian side. The name is believed to be a combination of the words bey and ''kos'', which means "village" in Farsi. Beykoz includes an area from the streams of Küçüksu and Göksu (just before Anadoluhisarı) to the opening of the Bosphorus into the Black Sea, and the villages in the hinterland as far as the Riva creek. The mayor is Murat Aydın ( AKP). The Black Sea is a marginal mediterranean sea of the Atlantic Ocean lying between Europe and Asia, east of the Balkans, south of the East European Plain, west of the Caucasus, and north of Anatolia.
