Hyundai Powertech
Hyundai Transys is an affiliate company of Hyundai Motor Group and produces a number of automobile transmissions, axles and seats in-house. On January 1, 2019, Hyundai DYMOS and Hyundai Powertech were merged with Hyundai Transys. Hyundai Powertech was established in 2001 as South Korea's first automatic transmission specialist. It has plants in South Korea, China, and the United States. Its automatic transmissions are used in Hyundai, Kia, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles. Hyundai DYMOS produces MT based transmissions including DCT and AMT along with axles, 4WD and seats as automotive parts. Chrysler PowerTech Engine
The initial design development for the PowerTech V6 and V8 engine family was done by American Motors Corporation (AMC) and debuted in 1998 with credit to Chrysler. This was the first new V8 engine for Chrysler since the 1960s. The companion V6 was basically the V8 with two fewer cylinders, another concept that originated at AMC before the company joined Chrysler. These new engines had nothing in common with the Chrysler A engine V8s, nor the Jeep 4.0 L "PowerTech" I6 engine. A 4.7 L V8 came first, available in the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a 3.7 L V6 version debuted in 2002 for the Jeep Liberty. The PowerTech V6 and V8 were direct replacements for Chrysler's '' LA'' family in the early 2000s, and were also used in the Dodge Ram and started in the 2000 Dodge Durango. Powertec RPA
RPE RP-V8 is the name of a naturally-aspirated V8 engine series developed by Radical Sportscars in Peterborough, England for use in the SR8 sportscar. The design is loosely based on the inline-four engine produced by Suzuki for their Hayabusa motorcycle. The company have designed their own cylinder block and use existing Suzuki cylinder heads. The two cylinder banks are inclined at 72-degree angle. Lubrication is provided by a dry sump system. The engine is mated to a purpose-built transaxle designed by Quaife.
