Power Volley Milano
Power Volley Milano is an Italian professional volleyball club based in Milan, Lombardy, Italy. They currently compete in the SuperLega, where they have been since the 2014–15 season. In the 2021/22 season, the club is named Allianz Milano. Honours European competitions * CEV Challenge Cup ** ''Winners (1):'' 2020-21 History Power Volley Milano was founded in 2010 as Power Volleyball. They competed in the 2010–11 Serie B2, and immediately gained promotion at the end of the season. However, following the sale of the club from Parabiago Volleyball, the club dissolved. They were refounded in 2012 as the current Power Volley Milano, and finished the 2012–13 Serie B1 season in 3rd place, gaining promotion to Serie A2. Following this season, the club was purchased by Wolves Volleyball Santa Croce. In the 2013–14 Serie A2 season, Power Volley finished 6th. Allianz Cloud Arena
The Allianz Cloud Arena, formerly known as PalaLido, is a multi-purpose indoor arena that is located in the Italian city of Milan, capital of Lombardy. The arena's primary use is to host basketball and volleyball games, but it can also be used to host handball, tennis, gymnastics, and wrestling. The arena currently has a seating capacity of 5,420 for sports events. It will host ice sledge hockey in the 2026 Winter Paralympics. History PalaLido originally opened in 1961. On June 17, 1980, Devo performed at the arena during their Freedom of Choice tour. The show was originally planned to happen at the Velodromo Vigorelli, but due to rain, it was moved to the Palalido. The arena was once used as the home arena of the top-tier level Italian League basketball club Olimpia Milano. In 2005, the arena's seating capacity was increased from 3,500 to 3,800. Nimir Abdel-Aziz
Nimir Abdel-Aziz (born 5 February 1992) is a Dutch professional volleyball player who plays as an opposite spiker for Halkbank Ankara and the Netherlands national team. Career National team Abdel-Aziz made his debut as the setter for the Dutch national team in 2011 against Belgium. He won the European League in 2012, after beating Turkey in the final. Position change In 2016, Abdel-Aziz changed his position from setter to opposite hitter in his club Stade Poitevin Poitiers. He has since then continued his volleyball career as an opposite in both clubs and the Dutch National Team. Milad Ebadipour Gharahassanlou ( fa, میلاد عبادی‌پور قره‌حسنلو; born 17 October 1993) is an Iranian professional volleyball player with Polish citizenship. He is a member of the Iran national team, and was a participant in the Olympic Games (Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020). At the professional club level, he plays for Allianz Milano. Career Ebadipour was called up to the Iranian national team for the 2014 World League, following his consistent and strong performance in the Iranian Super League, and made his first appearance in the national team in the match against Italy.
