''Power'' (stylized as ''POWER'') is the debut extended play (EP) by American actor and singer Alex Newell. It was released on February 19, 2016, by Big Beat Records. It charted at No. 11 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart on 12 March 2016. Background In late 2014, Newell featured in the last series of American television series ''Glee'' and was soon after signed to Big Beat Records. Shortly afterwards his signing, he released his debut single, a cover Sigma's song "Nobody to Love". The track was primarily conducted and produced by Nile Rodgers. In March 2015, Newell collaborated with several artists. He featured on Clean Bandit's last single from their 2015 debut album ''New Eyes'' alongside Sean Bass, entitled " Stronger". The song was originally intended to have Olly Alexander, until the group replaced him for the official version with Bass and Newell. Alex Eugene Newell (born August 20, 1992) is an American actor and singer. They are known for their role as Unique Adams on the Fox musical series ''Glee'' and Mo on ''Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist''. Newell also starred as Asaka in the Broadway revival of ''Once on This Island'' at the Circle in the Square Theater in 2018. ''Vinyl'' is an American period drama television series created by Mick Jagger, Martin Scorsese, Rich Cohen and Terence Winter. The series stars Bobby Cannavale as Richie Finestra, a record executive in the 1970s. It premiered on HBO on February 14, 2016, and concluded on April 17, 2016. From a teleplay by Winter and George Mastras, and story by Cohen, Jagger, Scorsese and Winter, the pilot episode was directed by Scorsese. The first season consisted of ten episodes. Scorsese had hoped to direct further episodes of the series. Winter left his position as showrunner at the end of the first season due to creative differences, leaving the position to Scott Z. Burns.
