Potomak
Potomak (Serbo-Croatian for "descendant") is an artist record label for the German experimental rock band Einstürzende NeubautenPotomak on Discogs. It was founded by the band's front man Blixa Bargeld (born Christian Emmerich on January 12, 1959) in 1988 to support the re-release of the band's Kollaps album on CD format. It also enabled the band to assume ownership of their music and operate outside of a label contract. Potomak also serves as the label for band member's solo projects and has released albums from Alexander Hacke, Rudolph Moser and Blixa Bargeld. Potomak releases are distributed through Rykodisc and Indigo. Daniel Puente Encina (Santiago de Chile, 1965) is a Chilean singer-songwriter, guitarist, film composer, producer and actor known for his bands such as the anti-fascist ''Pinochet Boys'' from Santiago de Chile, ''Niños Con Bombas'' from Hamburg and ''Polvorosa'' from Barcelona, where he currently lives. ''Redux Orchestra versus Einstürzende Neubauten'' is the fourth release of Einstürzende Neubauten's Musterhaus project, a series of highly experimental CD releases that were only available via an annual subscription through their website or from shows during their 25th Anniversary Tour. This project was separate from their Neubauten.org Supporter Project, which ran concurrently. Blixa Bargeld
Blixa Bargeld (born Christian Emmerich, 12 January 1959) is a German musician who has been the lead singer of the band Einstürzende Neubauten since its formation in 1980. Bargeld was also a founding member of the Australian rock band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, serving as a member from 1983 until his departure in 2003. Early life Bargeld left school prior to completion, and is self-taught. He experimented with audio equipment as a teenager, including the disassembling of tape recorders. The first album that he owned was by Pink Floyd, but he quickly moved on to German krautrock acts such as Kraftwerk, Neu! and Can, which he described as his biggest influences at the time. Bargeld is from the Tempelhof area of West Berlin and he moved out of his parents' home in the late 1970s. The Jewels (initially The Impalas, later The Four Jewels) were an American girl group from Washington, D.C., United States. Overview The group began singing as The Impalas in 1961; its members had attended Roosevelt High School and sang in Trinity AME Zion Church. Danielle de Picciotto is an American-born artist, musician and filmmaker. She was born in Tacoma, Washington, USA,. She currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany. In 1989 she founded, along with her partner Dr. Motte, the first Berlin Love Parade. Biography De Picciotto was the initiator of Berlin "Clubart Movement" in 1992.
