Carst Posthuma
Carst Posthuma (11 January 1868 – 21 December 1939) was a Dutch cricket player of the late 19th/early 20th century. He was a left-handed batsman and left-arm fast bowler. He played 72 times for the Dutch national team up to 1928, when he would have been sixty years old. He holds the Dutch record for most wickets in a career, taking 2,338 wickets at an average of 8.67. He was also the first Dutchman to take 100 wickets in a season in 1900, and the first to score a century in domestic cricket in 1894. Perhaps the highest point of his career came in 1903 when he played five first-class games for W. G. Grace's London County Cricket Club. Danielle Posthuma
Danielle Posthuma is a Dutch behavior and psychiatric geneticist who specializes in statistical genetics. She is a University Research Chair professor at VU University Amsterdam, where she is also head of the Department of Complex Trait Genetics. She has been a member of the Young Academy of the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences since 2005. She is known for studying the genetics of psychiatric and cognitive traits, including schizophrenia, neuroticism, Alzheimer's disease, insomnia, as well as genetics of intelligence, which she first became interested in researching in the 1990s. Folkert Posthuma
Folkert Evert Posthuma (20 May 1874, Leeuwarden – 3 June 1943, Vorden) was a Dutch politician. During World War I, he was the Minister of Agriculture, Industry and Trade in the government of Cort van der Linden and as such responsible for the food distribution. Before and after his ministership he held a senior management position at the insurance company Centraal Beheer. In the 1930s he became a sympathiser, but not a member, of the NSB. In 1943 he was asked by NSB leader Anton Mussert to become his representative for agriculture but was assassinated later that year by the Dutch resistance and communist Jan Verleun. Joost Posthuma (born 8 March 1981) is a Dutch retired professional road bicycle racer, who competed as a professional between 2004 and 2012. Born in Hengelo, Posthuma was known for his time-trialling and he wore the white jersey for the best young rider at the 2006 Tour de France. Posthuma set the best time for riders eligible for the young rider classification in the prologue, but lost it after the 1st road stage, after a rival got in a breakaway and got bonus seconds on the road.
