Portrayal of Guilt is an American hardcore punk band formed in Austin, Texas in 2017. It was founded by guitarist/vocalist Matt King, bassist Blake Given, and drummer James Beveridge. History Portrayal of Guilt formed when guitarist and vocalist Matt King and drummer James Beveridge – members of Austin hardcore band Illustrations – joined forces with bassist Blake Given of Austin screamo outfit Lyed. The trio released their self-titled EP in May 2017, and toured extensively across the United States and Europe with Centuries, Majority Rule, Planning for Burial, Street Sects, and Slow Fire Pistol. In March 2018, they released a split EP with industrial hardcore band Street Sects, who they had previously toured with, to critical acclaim. In this same month, Deathwish Inc. reissued their self-titled 7". ''Decibel'' is a monthly heavy metal magazine published by the Philadelphia-based Red Flag Media since October 2004. Christian Death
Christian Death is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles County, California, in 1979 by Rozz Williams. With major line-up changes over the years, Christian Death has retained "a relentlessly confrontational stand against organized religion and conventional morality". Williams was eventually joined by guitarist Rikk Agnew of the band Adolescents, James McGearty on bass guitar and George Belanger on drums. This line-up was responsible for producing the band's best known work, their 1982 debut album ''Only Theatre of Pain'', which was highly influential in the development of the style of music known as deathrock, as well as on the American gothic scene which also produced bands such as Kommunity FK and 45 Grave. Converge is an American hardcore punk band formed by vocalist Jacob Bannon and guitarist Kurt Ballou in Salem, Massachusetts in 1990. During the recording of their seminal fourth album ''Jane Doe'', the group became a four-piece with the departure of guitarist Aaron Dalbec and the addition of bassist Nate Newton and drummer Ben Koller.
