Portarlington RFC is an Irish rugby club based in Portarlington, County Laois, their men's senior team are playing in Division 2B of the Leinster League The Leinster League is the second tier of rugby in Leinster, behind the Leinster Senior League. It has five divisions. The champions qualify for a round-robin tournament with the champions of the other three provincial junior leagues for one of tw .... Their ladies' team is an amalgamation with Cill Dara RFC and is called PortDara Falcons and are playing in Division 3 of the Ladies Leinster League. The club colours are maroon and white. Juvenile Portarlington rugby juveniles are making steady progress. Much talent is coming right through from the minis section. Recent success was the U13 making a Leinster final. Leinster Rugby ( ga, Rugbaí Laighean) is one of the four professional provincial rugby union teams from the island of Ireland and the most successful Irish team domestically. They compete in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup. Leinster play their home games primarily at the RDS Arena, although larger games are played in the Aviva Stadium when the capacity of the RDS is insufficient. Portarlington, historically called Cooletoodera (from ), is a town on the border of County Laois and County Offaly, Ireland. The River Barrow forms the border. The town was recorded in the 2016 census as having a population of 8,368. Cill Dara RFC is an Irish rugby club based in Kildare, Leinster, playing in Division 1B of the Leinster League. The club's colours are a combination of red, white and black. History Rev. Father E.D.
