Porsche Mission R
The Porsche Mission R is a racing vehicle developed by Porsche equipped with a battery-electric vehicle, battery-electric drivetrain, first shown at International Motor Show Germany, IAA on September 6, 2021. Just as the Porsche Mission E, Mission E previewed the Porsche Taycan, Taycan sports saloon, the Mission R is a preview of a potential all-electric grand touring racing car for motorsport. Design The Mission R was developed in approximately nine months by a team of 30, and was unveiled at IAA 2021 on September 6. International Motor Show Germany
The International Motor Show Germany or International Mobility Show Germany, in German known as the ''Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung'' (''IAA'' – International Automobile Exhibition), is one of the world's largest mobility shows. It consists of two separate fairs, that subdivided in 1991. While the ''IAA MOBILITY'' displays passenger vehicles, motorcycles and bikes, the ''IAA TRANSPORTATION'' specializes in commercial vehicles. Oliver Blume (born 6 June 1968) is a German manager and CEO of Volkswagen Group. He is also simultaneously the CEO of Porsche. Personal life Blume was born in Braunschweig. After graduating from high school in Braunschweig, Blume studied mechanical engineering at the Braunschweig University of Technology. Porsche 911 RSR
The Porsche 911 RSR and its predecessor GT3 RSR, GT3 RS and GT3 R are a line of GT racing cars produced by Porsche that are used in motorsport for endurance races. They are based on the currently highest class in GT racing worldwide, the GTE class from ACO. These regulations lead back to the concept of a GT3 class below the then Group GT1 and GT2 from 1998. After the discontinuation of the GT1 class, the planned GT3 class was from 1999 at the ACO as a GT class below the GTS, as well advertised by the FIA from 2000 as N-GT. After the alignment of the GT rules between FIA and ACO in 2005, this class was renamed GT2 class. Regenerative Braking
Regenerative braking is an energy recovery mechanism that slows down a moving vehicle or object by converting its kinetic energy into a form that can be either used immediately or stored until needed. In this mechanism, the electric traction motor uses the vehicle's momentum to recover energy that would otherwise be lost to the brake discs as heat. This method contrasts with conventional braking systems. In those systems, the excess kinetic energy is converted to unwanted and wasted heat due to friction in the brakes, or with rheostatic brakes, where the energy is recovered by using electric motors as generators but is immediately dissipated as heat in resistors. FIA Formula E World Championship
Formula E, officially the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, is a single-seater motorsport championship for electric cars.
