The Dominican Communist Party ( es, Partido Comunista Dominicano) was a political party in the Dominican Republic. The party was founded in 1944 under the name Dominican Revolutionary Democratic Party. The party worked under the name Dominican Popular Socialist Party from 1946 to 1965. The Popular Socialist Party ( es, Partido Socialista Popular) was a political party in Argentina formed in 1972 with the merger of the Argentine Socialist Party, the '' Movimiento de Acción Popular Argentino'' (MAPA) and other minor groups. Headed by the more radical left group of the Party, it became important in particular in the province of Santa Fe, where Guillermo Estévez Boero was elected deputy in 1987, resulting in being the first Socialist parliamentary since Alfredo Palacios' 1965 death. In 1989, the PSP won the second city of the country, Rosario, with the election of Héctor Cavallero (1989–1995), and again with the election of Hermes Binner in 1995 and 2002. It was originally founded as the Popular Socialist Party ( pt, Partido Popular Socialista, PPS) by members of the former Brazilian Communist Party (PCB), as a centre-left social democratic and democratic socialist party. The Popular Socialist Party ( es, Partido Socialista Popular, or PSP) was a Chilean centre-left political party that existed between 1948 and 1957. It was the result of the division of the Socialist Party of Chile in 1948 by voting and promulgation of Law No. 8,987 of Defense of Democracy in which the PS was divided in its vote and support among pro-communist and anti-communist. The anti-communist faction (which were in Bernardo Ibáñez, Oscar Schnake and Juan Bautista Rossetti) supported the law, and the pro-communist (headed by Eugenio González and Raúl Ampuero) refused. The anticommunist group is expelled but makes the Conservative Electoral Registration assign them the name of the Socialist Party of Chile. It was founded in 1925 as the Cuban Communist Party () by Blas Roca Calderio, Anibal Escalante, Fabio Grobart, Alfonso Bernal del Riesgo, and Julio Antonio Mella. The Popular Socialist Party () emerged in Russia in the early twentieth century. History The roots of the Popular Socialist Party (NSP) lay in the 'Legal Populist' movement of the 1890s, and its founders looked upon N.K. Mikhailovsky and Alexander Herzen as ideological forerunners. The NSP was founded in 1906, by a number of dissidents from the Socialist-Revolutionary Party (SRs). They objected to the PSR's adoption of political terrorism and wanted to 'nationalize' the land (i.e., turn it over to the state), rather than 'socialize' it (i.e., make it common property of the peasantry), as the PSR proposed.
