The sixth season of ''CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'' premiered on CBS on September 22, 2005 and ended May 18, 2006. The series stars William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger. William Petersen
William Louis Petersen (born February 21, 1953) is an American actor and producer. He is best known for his role as Gil Grissom in the CBS drama series ''CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'' (2000–2015), for which he won a Screen Actors Guild Award and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award; he was further nominated for three Primetime Emmy Awards as a producer of the show. He reprised his role as Gil Grissom in the sequel '' CSI: Vegas'', which premiered on October 6, 2021. He also starred in the films '' To Live and Die in L.A.'' (1985), '' Manhunter'' (1986), ''Young Guns II'' (1990), ''Fear'' (1996), '' The Contender'' (2000), '' Detachment'' (2011), and ''Seeking a Friend for the End of the World'' (2012). Jim Brass
James Brass is a fictional character portrayed by Paul Guilfoyle on the CBS crime drama ''CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'' and its sequel ''CSI: Vegas''. He made his first screen appearance in the show's Pilot (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), pilot, broadcast on October 6, 2000. He was credited in 317 episodes. Guilfoyle's departure was announced in March 2014 and his character left on May 7, 2014. He returned for the series finale, ''Immortality (CSI), Immortality'', and appeared in two episodes of ''CSI: Vegas''.
