Poperratic was a solo music project/band from Los Angeles, California. Its sole member was the songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Jammes Luckett. Its music traversed a number of genres, but was mostly distinguished by Luckett's heavy rhythm guitar work, layers of harmonies, catchy melodies, and storytelling lyrics. Jammes Luckett came to some international attention via her film and television soundtrack work with writer/film director Lucky McKee. It feature films, such as the cult favorite "May", '' The Woods'', ''Masters of Horror'': " Sick Girl", and ''Roman'' (the latter written by and starring McKee, and directed by fellow frequent collaborator Angela Bettis). History Poperratic was founded in 1994, initially under the name Alien Tempo Experiment 13, and was renamed in 2004. Jammes Luckett, also formerly credited as Jaye Barnes Luckett is an American musician, writer, visual artist, and voice actor. She became known as the force behind the rock / electronic band Poperratic – as singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, music arranger, music video director and record producer. Likewise, Luckett gained notice as a film and television composer and songwriter; contributing film scores and original songs (across a wide variety of genres) for independent and major projects. Luckett first came to international attention with her work on 2002's ''May'' – which has since acquired a cult following. Art Mechanix Luckett has frequently released recordings, artwork, zines, stories and other projects via her own imprint, Art Mechanix. ''May'' is a 2002 American psychological horror film written and directed by Lucky McKee in his directorial debut. Starring Angela Bettis, Jeremy Sisto, Anna Faris, and James Duval, the film follows a lonely young woman (Bettis) traumatized by a difficult childhood, and her increasingly desperate attempts to connect with the people around her. Although ''May'' was unsuccessful at the box office, it received favorable reviews from critics, and is now considered a cult film. Plot May Canady is a woman in her mid-twenties, who suffered from a troubled childhood due to her lazy eye. Electric Guitar

Weekend of Horrors was traditionally a tri-annual (with occasionally more) traveling convention which focuses on horror films. Formerly produced in partnership with Creation Entertainment, the Weekend of Horrors show is now owned exclusively by ''Fangoria Magazine'' and is held once annually in Los Angeles, California. The convention also deals in areas of the horror genre outside filmmaking, as well as exploitation, science fiction, and fantasy entertainment. Shonen Knife
Shonen Knife is a Japanese pop-punk band formed in Osaka in 1981. Influenced by 1960s girl groups, pop bands, the Beach Boys, and early punk rock bands such as the Ramones, the band crafts stripped-down songs with simple yet unconventional lyrics sung both in Japanese and English. The band has been credited with making "the international pop underground more international" by "opening it up to bands from Japan". They have also performed as a Ramones tribute band under the name the Osaka Ramones.
