''PopPixie'' is an Italian animated miniseries created by Iginio Straffi. Its only season aired on Rai 2 for just over two months, from 10 January to 22 March 2011. The show features a cast of pixies, who were first introduced as secondary characters in the Winx Club (season 2), second season of ''Winx Club''. ''PopPixie'' is aimed at younger viewers, with an intended audience of 4 to 6-year-olds. The miniseries was first announced in May 2009, and its first episode was previewed at MIPCOM. After Nickelodeon became a co-developer of the main ''Winx Club'' series, the company announced that ''PopPixie'' would air on its global network of channels beginning in late 2011. Winx Club
''Winx Club'' is an animated series co-produced by Rainbow S.p.A., Rainbow SpA and later Nickelodeon. It was created by Italian animator Iginio Straffi. The show is set in a magical universe that is inhabited by fairies, witches, and other mythical creatures. The main character is a fairy warrior named List of Winx Club characters#Bloom, Bloom, who enrolls at Alfea College to train and hone her skills. The series uses a serial (radio and television), serial format that has an ongoing storyline. Winx Club (season 2)
The second season of the animated series ''Winx Club'' aired from 19 April to 14 July 2005, consisting of 26 episodes. The series was created by Iginio Straffi, who also acted as executive producer and director of the season. The season follows the Winx Club's second year at the Alfea College for Fairies, where they strive to earn an enhancement to their powers called Charmix. A new member of the Winx Club (Aisha, the Fairy of Waves) is introduced in the season's first episode. Meanwhile, the Trix are freed from their prison by Darkar, who becomes their leader. Pixie
A pixie (also pisky, pixy, pixi, pizkie, and piskie in Cornwall and Devon, and pigsie or puggsy in the New Forest) is a mythical creature of British folklore.
